help needed on "back to the begining"

ok i have no clue where i went wrong i am trying to get to the point of being able to do "walk of echos" and i need to do up till "gifts of the griffin" in order to be able to do it now here is my problem i had started the quest "back to the begining" some time ago and stoped it for some reason now when i retrace my steps exactly the way the wiki says Garlaige Citadel (San d'Oria Campaign) Edit

Talk to Randecque (I-6) on Map #2 in Garlaige Citadel (S).
You will be given a Red Recommendation Letter Key Item.
Head to Southern San d'Oria (S) and talk to Mainchelite (I-9) to join the Knights of the Iron Ram.
Batallia Downs (S) ---> Jugner Forest (S) (L-6) ---> Vunkerl Inlet (S) (D-11)

---> Jugner Forest (S) (F-5) ---> East Ronfaure (S) ---> Southern San d'Oria (S).

Complete the quest Steamed Rams.
The Gifts of the Griffon, and Claws of the Griffon are the next two City quests. (Not required to obtain Sigil or Allied Tags.)
Return to any of the 3 Cavernous Maw outside of Jeuno (Rolanberry Fields (S), Batallia Downs (S), or Sauromugue Champaign (S)) in the past for a cutscene.


i still have "back to the begining" under current missions and can't start steamed rams if anyone can help please let me know and if your ingame on odin let me know "kingoftooland"

Did you check under current / completed quests? If you are able to get sigil, then you've already finished Steamed Rams.

Back to the Beginning will be listed under your current mission until you complete one nation's quests and get the CS to start the mission Cait Sith.
Steamed Rams, Gifts fo the Griffon, and Claws of the Griffon will be listed under quests, not missions.

Wings of the Goddess missions can seem a little confusing, being that you MUST do a nation's storyline quests in line with the actual expansion's missions to progress through either. This wiki page lays it out nicely:

The idea here is that you must do the missions and quests in the order they are listed from top to bottom. However, you are only required to follow one nation's storyline quests to progress. You do not have to do all three if you don't want to. Being that you're allied with San d'Oria, it would be easier to follow San d'Oria's storyline quests in line with the missions.

I just hate that the missions are under missions, and the nation's storyline quests are listed as regular quests. That's where most people get confused.

Also, another thing that people often get confused with is that you don't have to be allied to a specific nation to do its storyline quests. So long as you are able to get tags through whatever nation you're allied with, you have the opportunity to progress through all three at the same time if you like.

aaah ok thats probly where i am going wrong thinking it's under missions not quests
