With the 95 scythe Heafoc might be better because of how hard fSTR is to cap now outside, but I wouldn't use them ever in Abyssea.

I carry grim+1 for my PDT set but it would only be useful on a LR down set and even then it would be pretty damn close.

I'm curious about the Abyss gauntlets +1 you use, is INT+9 the best you can get on hands? maybe I'm an attack freak but i currently use perle for STR+4 attack+10. I play a lot of Voidwatch so i figure my attack isn't going to be capped always.

I don't use DRK for VW and wouldn't use Cata if I did. Most of those mobs you aren't full time TPing and if you are you are probably capped on att
