Ok why why why was valkurm sunsand included in this quest???

It was included because SE love making everything a pain and they knew that's exactly what using this item was going to cause.

The level 70 cap quest required you to farm a Rare/Ex item from level 60+ mobs which were too strong for you to solo, then fight a BCNM solo, without your subjob. If you failed, you had to start the process over. This took much longer than 3 game days.

That was when doing limit qeusts made sense, and part of that was learning your job. There is zero reason for limit quests now

Since there are 14 different items the game may choose to be in your genkai - what's so bad about sunsand?
I'll save my time for a simple breakdown of how many player may have got the sunsand on your server since all you have to do is to wait or hope for someone to sell it at the AH.
