Theres probably some details they're keeping hush hush till the servers go down because of possible economical ramifications...stop whining till you get all the notes.

What do you speculate will happen that will cause possible economical ramifications?

Something short of bringing the level cap all the way back to 75, I can't imagine anything that would constitute a "mass quitting" of the players.

Who's talking about players quitting. The situations with geodes right now is a small scale example. Because people know they will need 40 of them for the new Magian Trials they are buying them out like crazy and the prices are rising.

I guess I misunderstood what Nynja meant when he said "economical ramifications."

I took that to mean real money issued by players to Square Enix, not the economic situation on the game.

You want some examples of economical ramifications?
1+2-as mentioned: geodes and crafting lvl caps
3-Details on Salvage changes, could cause the price of the upgrade mats to skyrocket again

4-old change, but an example nonetheless, Thief's Knife change, caused the price to plummet from 25 mil down to 100k.

Salvage augments giving people a reason to do salvage again and making the gear worthwhile again could easilly hike the prices or Ori Ingots, Imp Wootz Ingots, Bloodwood Lumber, Marid Hides, Wamoura Cloths and Imperial Gold Pieces.
Certain new gear depending on ease of obtaining will make other bought/rafted gear obsolete. For example, Dusk Gloves + and Dusk Ledelsens +1 are required (1 of the 2 for Rdm and both for cor) to cap Haste, however in the dats there are pieces of gear that replace both of these and cap haste for both jobs. Dusk+1 Hands and feet currently hover around 1mil and 800k. Those could plumit depending on the ease of which the new items are obtained.

I know taking a moment to actually ponder matters is challening for the average brain, korpg, but I would suggest giving it a go. Maybe it will lead to you not being ridiculed in 95% of the topics you post in.
