Puppet ranged attacks give ruby lights in abyssea?

I noticed recently that the regular ranged attacks of an automaton give ruby? Is this as intended? Would be weird since the other pets normal attacks don;t give ruby

Automatons don't have regular ranged attacks. They are actually job abilities, and all automaton job ability killshots give ruby lights in abyssea.

So it's working as intended, even though every PUP would like to see it different. (Try reposting in suggestions instead.)
