Through the confinement of Valefor I found myself in the depths of Hades. It was there that I was thrown into Cerberus' Den. Only through Carbuncle's light could I find my way.
I just put TH4 on there because I couldn't think of a cool job trait that relates well to maat that was unique, so I stuck treasure hunter on cause all adventurers like more loot!I see your point on the add ons, but I suppose that's SEs decision on whether to make a player do those as well or not.
The idea of crafting skills is interesting, but I most certainly don't want people to require them all to cap. That would be even more ridiculous than getting all 15 grounds of valor items. (Seriously, I've been stuck here with max treasure casket prowess for a week now and still no prouesse ring. I've gotten about 60 different item types that were not the ring though.) Fishing alone would take years, and aren't crafters able to or soon able to level 2 crafts to level 100 besides fishing? And then there's chocobo digging, would that be required?
And I'd not want to exclude the armor from any jobs myself. That would be an even bigger slap in the face than excluding the 5 post CoP jobs from kraken club was.
AHAHAHAHAHAHA
This is just crazy!!
Yesssss I would love to dress up as Maat! I was actually just mulling over the notion that we should be getting wrinkles as we mature to a ripe 99.
Maat cap is sexy hat too have meanwhile you get a better head piece for your job + it saves inventory ^^ i rather have maat cap over 12 hats anytime xD
Double Cast would be an interesting stat to have in FFXI...but I guess "quick magic" kinda covers it?
Obviously the entire OP is just a fairy tale that wouldnt happen, still fun to read.
Actually, they're totally different. quick magic is basically a one time chainspell, firing a spell off instantly and with 0 recast time, allowing it to be cast again right away. double cast wouldn't speed up casting at all, but is more like a "double damage" sort of buff, only it also works with status cures, healing magic, buffs, etc, and does not grant instant recast time like with quick magic. Sure sometimes it might not be useful for non-cure or damage spells, but doublecast erase? That might be nice.
And again, I realize it's probably deliciously overpowered and ridiculous, but it's that way because A) getting it would require you doing a gigantic part of the game and B) It's gotta appeal to all jobs. If the dev team thinks it's too much, they can always implement it with their own stats.![]()
Maat's Cap is outdated because any yahoo can get one. Before The exp and Level upgrade, the hat was an honer. Now it just a tele peace.

It's funny I didn't see this post earlier. My friends and I have been talking about something like this for months. And wondering if SE is going to make us fight Maat again for the 96~99 level cap. Which then would mean another testi & maybe a second piece of his armor. Which! I think personally, that it should be his shoes. And I say that because until AF3 most feet really sucked yea know. hehe now as for stats on them +7 doesn't cut it anymore (and I agree there should be a trial for the cap to become updated also), so maybe +20 to all stats, and I like the revitalize idea. Sadly SE will most likely never make it happen though. I do applaud your post it made me smile![]()
