Level 99 Spell Idea- Mimic

Blu should get this as a quested spell, at level 99. Upon completion of the quest you learn the spell. It can also be J.A. Mimic allows you to store one spell indefinably until you wish to learn another one, and to use that spell between those times. No zone limits, KO Limits or logout limits. Timers and all that can be worked out by you or SE. This spell has no animation, upon being cast, (as i know the technical problem with that), and is instant cast time. It works (store up wise) along the lines of sublimation. Blu would need to be careful with it as such, to not overwrite desired spell.

I kinda hoped for a reflect trait much like Colibris. Its a ridiculous dream, but of course it would be a 5% proc rate or hell maybe even 3% on the count of how crazy such a spell would be. Thats about as close as I get with this. I don't feel Mimic would really work, because honestly..... what is the downside of the spell? I can't see any, and it would seem the spell would be a bit broken.

If SE were ever to do something like that, I imagine they'd put that on the BLU Mythic or the like. SE seems to keep hinting at wanting to put unique spells and abilities on them. For example, the Q&A about Massacre Elegy and the BST Q&A regarding the Guttler and a unique pet tied to it.

yeah i can totally see SE having a spell tied to Tizona, would make a lotta blu's upset for sure tho.
Pretty sure only 1 or 2 Tizona's exist on Lakshmi.

If it makes anyone upset, they can go and do the enormous amount of work it takes to get a Tizona and get the spell too. Not like the weapon has much else going for it at the moment.

Mimic would be a JA.. Would be way too powerful as a spell.

I'm with scuro. Id like to see a "reflect" ability. Something akin to Aquaviel, that renders a status effect and a player can reflect/mimic...1~3 job abilities/spells directed at the blue Mage directly. No AoE's. The mimic ability could be recast maybe 10~20min timers and last 5min.

Maybe as an added "balance" each reflect could cost a standard 50~100mp and or TP?

And if you think about it, this could make up for the pathetic "metal skin" spell.
