    Iron Giant gripe

I know that Iron Giant attacks are considered WSs or JA or something.

    My question is "Why?"

Why are their melee attacks considered whatever they are? It makes procing near impossible. They, themselves aren't that gripe-worthy, I can deal with the way the mobs are, I just don't see the point nor any logic behind this. They're deadly and challenging alone, the fact that you can't proc while they are meleeing is annoying and frankly stupid. Shinryu, IIRC, is the same way. Shinryu is the final boss of Abyssea, of course he's gonna be trouble in any way possible. But why Iron Giants?

You can proc on things to vastly increase drop rates and you're complaining it's annoying to proc on certain mobs? So ungrateful.

It seems the way SE has things coded, normal attacks cannot hit multiple targets at once so the only way to work around this limitation was to create attacks that are equivalent to unnamed TP moves that have the ability to hit multiple targets at once.

The main idea of this naturally was to counter the blink heavy mindset of the pre-Abyssean play. Im sure someone with a better understanding could explain this better.

Probably don't want an Ochain to be "too easy" to get.

Because it's hilarious watching an Iron Giant that you've proc'd blue on.

Red and Blue are easy to proc on Ironclads. Grellow not so much, I'll give you that. But go fight something that's easier to grellow for your AF +1/+2 drops.

Or team up with people like me, who need to do 30~40 Iron Giants anyway. Don't even need grellow, I completed my SCH set and a friend's NIN set without procs so far.

I agree this was likely the reason but they failed, I used a THF/NIN tank for all of my Iron Plates LOLs
