    Hello Folks,

I'm getting ready to start creating the pages for the nine new spells for the hunting grounds.

And I'm looking for a little bit of help information wise.

The first one is pretty simple. The new JA that lets us access the spells like Thunderbolt and Harden Shell, at what level do we get the JA? I ask because it will be the Spell level of these spells for functional purposes. I can't think of a better way to 'place' them.

Second, White Wind of course comes from NM Puks. I know there are a ton of such scattered about the Abby zones, but I also know that not all use the spell. I am pretty sure the Altepa one does, but do any of the others? If anyone has solid info on which use the spell I'd be very thankful.

Thoughts on Thunderbolt are welcome also. Nyzul being one of the best, but I'm sure other folks may have some ideas. I am unsure of how hard it is to get to the Limbus Behomoths in small groups, so info there is welcome.

I'll be doing my best to have the pages ready to go by update time, and your help is very welcome.

It's been stated that they will be adding more puks who can use White Wind in the update. May be best to wait til then,

Reduce or get rid of the penalty incurred after setting blue magic spells.
The concept is that you acquire blue magic spells via learning and then you can change battle strategies by picking and choosing spells within the blue magic spell points and set limitations. If you were able to change spells freely, the whole battle strategy aspect would be lost, so we have no plans to remove/reduce the penalty.

Sorry you don't like the hunting grounds Alpheus, but they are not for everyone. I know many BLU's feel I'm too conservative in my pages, and some like to work things out themselves.

I had not heard they were planning on more WW Puks. I'd still like to try and get things as ready as possible before release though. Any chance they have updated the test server with these yet?

There's some new puks in Bohyada but I don't know if they use WW. Seem like a safe bet atm.

Prothscar, Ah that is good info. Perhaps someone will poke them and we'll see

Now if they only will add some Baby Behomoths like they did with the turtles!

Actually i was gonna post how hadyaosh would be a viable way to learn thunderbolt but i then started to go into detailing how you'd need a brew on hand in case things went bad (since you are waiting for him to use thunderbolt and thus prolonging the fight which in general always invites more opportunities for things to not go your way) and two getting a popset for him which to me equated to being a dumb idea to suggest Hadyahosh to your list of viable Thunderbolt learning mobs.

I thought/think of it as a dumb idea because the optimal places and means to learn BLU spells was or at least to me was to minimize risk as well as minimize time investment and seeing as how learn rate is random farming a popset would increase time one would put in for a spell learning opportunity in addition to the nature of the mob being given the opportunity to go whole hog on you while you hope it next uses Thunderbolt since Hadyahosh isnt the kind of mob you want to TP feed it would increase the spell learning difficulty considerably and thusly thought that what i wanted to contribute to the thread would be a "dumb idea lol"

I was in no way commenting on Blue Mage Hunting Grounds website nor your upkeep of it. Its a valuable resource and i recognize it as such. I'm a bit surprised you would see my deletion comment as a snarky or snide remark on your website especially given that in the previous page i posted a big thank you towards you for making the site to begin with.

If learning Thunderbolt took that much effort, I wouldn't even bother.

I'm somewhat hoping we learn them automatically or more mobs are added.

Exactly. To be honest I think ppl will approach it by hanging out by the pop site for NQ Behemoth in Behemoth's Dominion and try and catch it there when groups after a D.Ring or BB pop their Behemoth unless an Alliance of BLUs hunt down lolKaiser Behemoth in WotG areas.

Course this might just end up like Body Slam where you can opt to learn it via a WotG mission since i believe that Behemoth does do Thunderbolt

My plan for learning Thunderbolt and Harden Shell: Go to the areas where those monsters are popped and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait.

I'm placing my bet on somebody wanting to pop a behemoth or a turtle and being not-entirely-appalled at the idea of inviting me before anything actually happens in my life to interrupt my waiting. I have dubbed this the "I am a fat loser and I play an MMORPG." plan for learning Blue Magic.

I'm sorry. I didn't recognize your comment as a deletion. I just thought it was a comment.... My very big bad. I shouldn't read stuff quickly late at night.

Yes, the idea is that the spell learning should be easy, efficient and safe. I've already got 5 of the 9 new spells up in the little section for new spells under the main page, and I tested all of them for doability.

I'm hoping the little turtles in A-Tarongi will provide harden shell. They use the move (I tested them) and are of the right mob class. We'll have to see if it works. I wonder if someone could hit the test server and try a learn off them and if it would work, rather then moogle the spell.... I'd do it myself, but I'm on a PS2 and unsure how well I could manage it.

As for Thunderbolt, I'm leaning toward Nyzal being the best current option for being able to do it on ones own time with some helpers. The low floor bosses can be farmed pretty simple by a good trio or more at 90.

I'm setting the spell level for Harden Shell and Thunderbolt at 95, based on thats then the JA opens up from all I can read. Seems reasonable.

All in all I'm having fun researching the spells again, which is one of the things I got out of the pages when I first started them.
