Test Server Feedback section, can we have it?

The ones in general discussion are scattered about. Would be nice if they could have one central spot for them. Managed to keep up with a handful of them that could get moved into the new section right away if they were to add a feedback section to the Test Server section:

Not only just a feedback section, but it sorely needs a "Self-Help" location. A good third of the threads are people having problems running the test server client or setting it up proper, which isn't the purpose of the "Test Server Bugs" section.

Heres some feedback, Why do you only limit to the pc community when most of the problems are with xbox and ps2. If you get it right on the other platforms, it will most probably work on the pc.......

    Few reasons.

    1) Test clients usually have some debug stuff running in the background, and are typically more unstable and also consume more memory.
    2) Microsoft is very restrictive on developers doing this kind of stuff with a public group
    3) PS2 already has problems with disk space regarding their current FFXI partition, nor does SE have any means of supplying the data other than releasing a disc, which isn't feasible given the PS2's age. Also the memory issue as described by #1.

Besides, the test server is for checking gameplay content primarily. Game breaking crashes are handled by the devs since they have access to seeing this content running on the respective consoles.

I doubt you'd be seeing test server access for the PSVita port of the game also.

    Ditto.

Back to OP. Yes can we have a dedicated forum for test server feedbacks? Posts are scattered all over the place and I wanted to add some input to any potential discussions that may already be conducted elsewhere.

I have to agree on this one. In fact, I'd like to input something here.

When you submit your character to apply to the test server, your character data is brought into the test server. however, you cannot update it from the public server. As someone with a Level 90 Caladbolg, I had forgotten that by the time I applied, I still had a level 85 Caladbolg, and I'm amusingly disappointed that I can't have my cake and eat it too. I suppose, though, this falls under the guideline of "You cannot change the character you selected in your application."

I'd like to know if a feature that enables your Test Server Characters to be updated from your Public Server Characters is possible, much like saving your macros, marker data, and so on. It would make certain types of testing less of a hassle (Relics, Mythics, Empyreans, Magian Weapons, etc).
