Thought I'd throw this out there for SE to consider, alongside the one being conducted via POL. Granted, there will be some duplication in the results here, as a user doesn't have a way to filter out those who have voted through POL, and it may not accurately capture users with multiple accounts on the same platform. It's more to get SE thinking about doing something here so we may also be able to tally users currently not trying to log into POL/FFXI due to issues with their account status that may not be resolved until Character Reactivation and various other issues with billing/account transfers are resolved in the coming months.
Basically, I'm going to create a post for each hardware/software environement being used. Note, that it is to track the Platform used, and not just the Client. As in, MAC, LINUX, and PC would use the Windows Client, and both the PS3 and PS2 use the PS2 client. Want to see what operating environment is being used, not just if it is/isn't the PS2 client.
Simply go to the post for the hardware you are using and like that post, so we can get a general picture of what mix of hardware/OS is actually being used to play the game.
