And to prove its not a one shot deal, the following days VETERAN ww gp item:
Ash Clogs
WW Cap: 11
Worth: 31 points
Cap: 1520
Items Required: 49
Not sure if it could be worked in as a change to the guild points or a new type of point system entirely, but I would like to see a system where you could turn in any synth from a certain craft to the guild for that craft for points. Then have the ability to use those points to buy ingredients for higher level synths as well as other things.
Would help with the rut levels you sometimes get caught in when either the ah is not selling hard to obtain ingredients, or the ingredients are insainly overpriced. It would also give people a reason to craft and farm older gear / items / ingredients and sell them on the ah, if others could buy them to trade in for points.

And jsut when you though it was bad enough, for the thrid day in a row, it has topped itsself!
Todays Woodworrking guild point item for VETERAN:
Maple Harp
woodworking cap 23
Worth 12 points.
Cap 1680 points
Items required: 140
140.... Please out down the pipe and change this!
How about this:
Everyday they're three different guild point items you can choose to turn in. Tier one, worth little but easy to get. Tier two, decent amount of points, not easy, but not difficult to get. Tier three, worth a lot but very difficult to get (perhaps making it an item that you can't buy).
I find it annoying that there are many days where you can only get 1k guild points. Considering how much certain (key) items cost and the day and age this game is in I think some change is necessary. If someone just begins this game and decides to level a craft, it is very likely that he will never be able to achieve certain items. It just takes too much time.
I think having something like the above where you have a choice to use your time to get a difficult item that rewards 3-5k guild points a day would help.
I approve of revamping the GPI system, it will be needed soon when they implement 2nd 100 Craft.
one thing to mention about the value of crafted items, its difficult to base the GP value based on the price, because servers are different, plus an item may be rare now become widely available later in game, this will force them to adjust its GP value, which is highly unlikely, or else we will end in the same position as now rare item with low GB value or vice versa.
IMO the GP value of an item should be based on the skill rquired to craft the item plus its subcrafts.
Sometimes the ones that seem pointless are the easiest.
Ash Staff - sold by Ciqala in Bastok Markets for 57 - 66 gil. that's 4275 - 4950 total and you can get them from a vendor. I guess holding that many items that don't stack really is the worst part of it.
Ash Clogs - sold by Pirvidiauce in Northern San D'Oria for 111 - 128 gil. that's 5439 - 6272 gil total, and hardly any travel.
Maple Harp - Harmodios in Bastok Markets, when bastok is in 1st or 2nd for 43 - 49 gil. that's 6020 - 6860 gil. personally I'd skip this one as 140 items IS ridiculous for that amount of points.
The point is, do a little research and some of those low points are actually pretty easy to gather. sometimes it's cheaper to buy them all from an NPC than to try to gather ingredients.
All that said, I agree that some items need an overhaul, but for the most part it's not that bad.
while that might be true, its still a waste. People dont want to spend an hour running around from where ever they are to where they need to buy stuff, then run back to the guild, then run back to seller if its not stackable, then back to the guild...
Its jsut a waste of time, and usaly only for like 1k points. And when you need 200k+ its highly discouraging, and annoying. And if you want more then one item... your screwed'
Well I'm not sure what the deal with WW is... but I know CC has a few that are best just to wait around for... the items are ~10-40k to make but you only need a handful or even one and you get like 8k GP with some of them... other than that, though, the requests between the good ones are usually pretty pointless, unless you're being impatient and want to maximize your GP gains... As for the time consumption complaints and stuff... That's the point... These items aren't supposed to be an over-night deal... It took me years to get all my KIs and Items... And I honestly wouldn't expect any less...
Seeing as the items change every day at jap nidnight... yes.. it is exactly an over night deal.
Im not saying that it take to long to save up for GP KI's and what not (granted it takes forever; 3 years of WW GP and still only have the two +1 items), but rather that some of the item requests each day has taken up to 2-3 hours to get. And for ppl with actual lives, or other things to do; thats very obsered.
