Dig around on BG somewhere, not going to find the link since it's most likely buried in there somewhere. For a long time there was a suspicion that drain / aspir capped @300 skill for potency, although accuracy would still go up. Same with BLU's MP Drainkiss / Digestion and such.

Then SE came along with an update that listed them uncapping Enhancing Magic and Dark magic effects, Drain and Aspir were specifically listed by name.
