    SC and MB points

    I have been working on this idea of creating a new weaponskill and magic burst system.

    A problem that SE has and have had for a while, is to get people to use Skillchains and Magic Bursts. When SCs and MBs happens, they are usually "accidents". I never experience anyone anymore discussing "In what order shall we do our weaponskills?". And mages rarely wait for a SC so that they can time theyr MBs. And that part of the game, I really miss.

    So I was thinking, maybe SE should introduce a different kind of "bonus" to make SCs and MBs more attractive again.

    For each successful Skillchain, you get a SC-charge. With these charges, you can unlock various weponskills/WS-enhanchement.
    For each successful magic burst, you get a MB-charge. With these charges, you can unlock certan job abilitys or spells.

    The charge system could start from lvl 50+. As you level up, the max amount of charges is raised. At lvl 50 you only get 1 charge and at lvl 99, the cap chould be 10 charges. The more charges you have, the more powerful a WS/WS-enchantmet or a magic/jobability is.

    Here is a few examples of what kind of things the charges unlock.


    Warriors

    -The weaponskill enhanchment, is the ability to use the same WS twice. The weaponskills power depend on the amount of charges.
    -The jobability enhanchment gives double attack aura for the whole party for a certan amount of time. The chance for double attacking could be affected by how many charges you have, scaling from 5%-25% or the duration of the double attack aura could be affected by the amount of charges.


    Red mage

    -The red mages weaponskill enhanchment could be a WS similar to the spell "Bad Breath". It inflicts different kinds of enfeebles. The more charges, the more enfeebles.
    -The jobability enhanchment will be to double cast a spell or to access the spell Ultima (I dont know how this spell would be, but you could make a suggestion^_-)


    Summoners

    -This weaponskill enhanchment could be a WS that gives a buff, similar to the WS Myrkr. It gives the summoner imunity to dammage, but transfers all the dammage to your pet (sorta like a Stonekin with a twist). So if you are hit by a AoE that normally does 100 dammage to your avatar and 200 dammage to the summoner, this WS will dammage the avatar for 300 points of dammage. The duration of this buff depends on how many charges you have. (I know this sounds kinda powerful, but done right it could work. Your pet will eventually die if you take too much dammage anyway, so you cant really tank)
    -The Magic Burst enhanchment could be a job ability to controll your spirits magic for a certan amount of time. The time you can controll them depends on your charges.


    Black mage

    -The black mages could get a WS, similar to Myrkr, that gives magic attack bonus. The MAB depends on how many charges you have, variating from 10%-60%.
    -The magicburst enhanchement can be accessing the Burn II, Frost II etc - spells. These spells have to be much more superior to the tier I's and the duration of the enfeeble variates acording to how many charges you have.


    Keep in mind, that these are only suggestions to what the SC and MB charges unlock. I can give more suggestions to all jobs, but I would like to hear your thoughts first and possibly your suggestions.

    Rewind most of the ideas you mentioned (as I personally believe they aren't really feasible).

    Simply give any nukers a massive Enmity- trait when spells have been bursted. The reason no one magic bursts anymore is because they pull so much hate.

    As for skillchains - give a small defence-down type status effect on the mob where melee / magic does a little more damage for a short duration (say 15 secs). Similar to that of a weapon aftermath effect - however decreases resistance on the mob. Potency of defence down varies depending on the lvl of the skillchain tier and weakness.

    For example doing a darkness skillchain on a mob like Rani (who is darkness based) has a minimal defence down effect, however doing a light skillchain give Rani +5-10% Damage taken. (or something).
