That's not what that acronym stands for...
Keep it simple, stupid!
No, people should not adopt that principle. People should say what they need to say to get the job done. If you can't read a so called "wall of text, " then you have a problem with laziness. Some things just can't be made one/two liners.
Wall of text is just a complete slop of words in 1 giant paragraph. A well structured, long post is not a wall of text.
I'm seriously not going to read a huge wall-of-text because people can't be assed to hit the enter key a few times and space their paragraphs. People who type like this need to realize that if they want people to read their posts much less take them seriously, they have to give their readers some breathing space between paragraphs.
It's simple basic stuff that any person who learned to read in grade school should have picked up.
Well, I agree. But a lot of people treat both as the same thing.
I have a better suggestion. People should learn what punctuation marks, sentences, and paragraphs are intended to do. Long posts are often needed to explain a game mechanic or a situation. Posts that read like a kindergartener's essay on what he wants to be when he grows up are not needed and certainly not wanted.
For some people who post here English is a second or third language, and oddly enough, their posts are usually pretty simple to read. I assume this is because they put roughly two seconds of effort into making their posts readable. It's not hard!
