Personally, I am seeing inflation in this game to be a growing issue. With Dynamis being free after a one time purchase, limbus not being done as often, the massive waves of NPCable from abyssea. It just seems like the sink is filling up and the drain can't process it out fast enough.
The goblin firework NPCs were a good idea, but they really do not take out much as most people don't buy fireworks from them a lot.
So out of curiosity what do the devs and the general community think of this?
Personally I would like to see a huge cut in the following:
-Dark rings
I know the devs have stated they do not want to reduce certain NPC prices as it effects crafters. Which is why I am not mentioning augmented weapons from Ops as they specifically stated that when they increased the cost to buy them. However, for those hitting 100 goldsmithing there are seven other elemental rings they can craft that
all NPC at that price.
A reduction in price for the following would be nice:
- Aurore, Teal, and Perle
- Chocobo Blinkers
- Azouph Greens and Tokopekko Wildgrass
- Ratsetsu Jinpachi (really almost no one crafts them anyway)
A minor (~250g-1k) reduction on the following would be nice:
- Gules leggings and various other equipment from abyssea.
There will be significant backlash just like when beast blood, bird blood, bugard skin, etc were nerfed, NPCing things in this game is not the only way to make money. Given how many things drop gil in this game (BCNMs, ZNMs, NMs, tons of NPCables from WoE, etc) and how many other things are not even mentioned there we regularly NPC this is really not a big deal.
Cutting some NPC prices and/or adding more gil sinks (even certain things like making people want to limbus more again) would be great IMO.
