Anyone know what needs to be switched on in order to see when a blm or an avatar has successfully magic bursted?

Hello my party fellows, sorry I'm late!
My chocobo passed out because I'm overweight.
I would guess it to fall to the category of 'damage taken by foes' or 'attacks by you/allies'.
Personally I almost never have any filters on, so I haven't noticed which one this would be affected by. It could be faster for you to simply test it yourself. ^^
...or so the legend says.
I've tried, but for some reason I'm not seeing the messages. Others say they can see it in their chat messages. I'm needing to know if my avatars have timed themselves right for a burst to know if I need to use their bloodpacts sooner or later.

Attacks by you / party / allies.
If you can see your avatar's damage, you will be able to see the message that there was a magic burst. The message is in the same line as the damage, so it looks like
Magic Burst! The harmless bunny takes XXXX points of damage.
Aha! Thank you Khiinroye.![]()

If you are using gear swap macro's, sometimes blinking overwrites the appearance of skillchain animation / messages in the log. (You know you have successfully skillchained as the sound still plays).
If you don't have any filters on, I suggest this could also be the issue.
