To the OP, I'm sure I read somewhere that we're now being billed AFTER we've played for each month, instead of a month in advance. So if this is true, it will appear that we get a month for free.

Unless you can provide me with a URL I won't believe that because no MMO works that way. Also my next billing on my SE account says August 1'st. It couldn't have been billed though POL either because the card that was on POL was canceled and replaced in the middle of July.

They actually billed me twice for it, and I was about to start raging about it until I noticed that they actually refunded the money that they had taken the month before when they cancelled the account.

You had no cause to consider raging. they specifically said that they were going to refund the fee for anyone who reactivated after having their account erroneously cancelled- something that I'm fairly sure is describing you.
