Back on topic about the original post and Artifact armor 4 (AF, Relic, Empyrean, <new stuff here>) (not the upgrade to relic that SE derailed this on...)
My concept for this gear is covered in my ideal expansion post, but it fits this discussion.
Basically, my concept revolves around a new set of gear that is customizable and can take on the properties of past job specific gear, with a few new things thrown in. (It requires having first acquired the other job specific gear.)

The evolith system already covers that. A great idea with abysmal execution, but a great idea nonetheless. Now if SE would only expand on it... like aptants to increase evo gear to 90/95/99. And decent evoliths that work all the time, instead of +1 acc between 4:23 and 6:39 on firesday while fighting plantoids facing south-east while under the effect of Gain-CHR. (Boost-CHR is a different evolith)

Also, with regards to static vs random on relic+2: definitely static, but perhaps with a dash of randomness. Once an hour, you can 'use' the relic+2 to get some random positive stats applied to it. Trading it to NPC for storage will remove any augments.

The decision has been made already.
Its going to be Static, But real difficult to obtain so the stats can be made worthwhile. I believe the Rep said this a couple pages back.

Ryusomething Suna-Ate. Yah. I feel saving myself 5mil gil is worth the loss in 4 Accuracy for the time being. I'm working on Voidwatch to actually get them though, because I recognize their superiority.
Also, I actually own 1 of those DEX Kilas, its the very first one i made back when they were first released. I also have a STR Kila now too...
That being said, 2 handed weapon with +50 acc is ridiculously high even by what was lv 75 standards, and to remain uncapped is even more insane. I'm sure the person i quoted realized full well the difference between Voidwatch and Abyssea.
That being said, Sushi + Aggressor + +50acc and a 2handed weapon seems like it would be major overkill on anything. Thats what i was "wowing" about >_>; Not the +50acc alone, But the added nearly 50% Acc from Agg. and Sushi on top of his naturally 2 handed Acc and Equip acc :3

Problem is "Random" is rarely ever better then static.
Last time you tried to do "Random" we got STR-4 DEX-4 INT+4 on haguns.
The dev team is too incompetent or just doesn't have to the time to do random stats in a good way, any attempts at random stats will result in epic fail. So please, static stats.
