Curor ---> To Gil (Cruor Prospector) Option

Curor ---> To Gil (Cruor Prospector) Option

As it stands currently, in order to make a profit in gil from curor, you must buy sets of armor to shuttle back and forth between venders and the Cruor Prospector. To alleviate some of the pain of resetting time and constant maw exiting, wouldn't it be nice to have the Cruor Prospector give you a option to exchange a certain amount of curor into the form of gil. I believe this would reduce the amount of stress and time needed to make a simple transaction.

God I hope not. That's the absolute worst way to convert cruor to gil.

Or find a way to make gil without wasting your cruor on NPCable items.

WOW, wanting to be lazy about being lazy. Its still one of the fastest ways to make gil in the game it really needs no fix. Other then Dom notes what else can you make that much gil that fast, well beside brewing mobs for people and only if they have the pop already.

eh... is gil really that necessary now once you've hit 90? I make upwards of 30k a day just pawning crap I get from mobs or chests--once in a while I find a nice juicy 100k or so item. More than pays for my consumables.

It was never about being lazy, obviously there are better ways to earn gil, but I don't understand how its lazy to to turn your curor into gil. I mean you EARNED the curor, same as earning gil off of mobs you kill.

Have you replaced your Lv75 +5 Stat rings with +7 ones? Have you got important items like MDT and PDT sets (Grim Cuirass, Darksteel+1, Gavial/Hydra, Coral+1, Merman's, etc)? Is the new Jingang/Calmecac/Etc gear better than existing options for your job, and if so, have you got them (The haste/DA/TA legs are the best TP leg slot for many jobs)? Have you leveled every job you'd want to level to 90?
If the answer to any of these is "no", then gil is still necessary for you.

think they were referring to the method you were asking for...converting the gil directly at the NPC that is right at the maw.

Also, have to be mindful of the continuity factor--cruor is the currency of abyssea, so where would they get the fat bankroll for supplying your gil? Next on the list would be zomg I hate running to a maw to buy my gilz...just let me do it with Horst and company.

Just a bad idea in general. Cruor is too easy to farm. Gil is too easy to earn. Money in general just doesn't have the impact now like it used to. I spent well over 2mill upgrading certain items last month, and I'm still about 1.5mill AHEAD of what I spent. And I never farmed or crafted specifically to earn gil. That's just off crap that has dropped while I was doing my normal crap in the game.

Didn't say it wasn't necesary. I said it wasn't that necessary. As referenced in my post that went up the same time as yours.

And yes, I have been spending a lot of gil...but my normal activity has been more than enough to replace that gil and earn even more. I've replaced some level 75 pieces for free--items dropped while doing normal stuff. There are some pieces I still haven't gotten that I would like to have, but they aren't necessary. And I'm not going to fork out upwards of 3 mill for something that is just going to be superceded with the next round of level caps. Look at what happend to all the high priced gears right after we got new level caps.

I don't honestly see what the big deal is. People buy the gear and resell it anyway -- why not just make it an option and spare the hassle.

To call it laziness is a bit asinine, running laps to vendor off the gear doesn't afford you some red badge of honor for work. Quite simply, if people are going to do it anyway, you may as well make it an option.

As far as the continuity element is involved (side note, thanks Raist, nice to know I'm not the only one in the forum who considers that...), the NPCs in Abyssea obviously need cruor for -something- , and many of them are associated with nations outside of Abyssea, as is evident by the appearance of so many story important NPCs in the zones (unless I missed something and they are all doppelgangers or something.) -- it would be easy to link the conversion to the leaders of the various group funding a cruor farming operation.

If Gil is easy to make and cruor are easy to make, there's no real reason to not make them convertible, especially when someone determined enough can just go BLM or /BLM sub and run laps anyway.

That aside - the only way to stop this is for SE to make cruor more valuable. As it stands, once you've bought up your gear, there's no real reason to hold onto it unless you plan to brew -- which your average person isn't.
