Headgear Graphics

So, I'm pulling this idea from another game, and though i did not like the game i did enjoy a small feature. You had the option to equip the headgear but the graphics would remain as if you were wearing nothing. Would this feature even be possible for XI. If so, I would love to be able to use it for I am someone who pays attention to detail.
I assume it would be due to hairpins not having a graphic.

I did not know XIV had that feature. I was talking about WoW.
I think that on some gear sets, it looks better with out a head piece, and if it's simple enough, why not add the option?
