It's not even a matter of liking one more than the other. This is an attempt to even out Abyssea allied experience points with traditional 6 or fewer man parties, as the doubling of experience points per mob wasn't enough to accomplish that. I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting Conquest Points or Imperial Standing while making experience points per hour that are as good as anywhere else. Even hard core Abyssea players may not want to use stones and or time on Abyssea. I see no reason why Abyssea and traditional parties cannot co-exist as equals.
You're missing the point. One of the flaws of the traditional experience points system is that experience points are rewarded based upon the level of the mob, not the level of difficulty of the mob; a Colibri and a Soulflayer should not give the same amount of experience points. Sure, some mobs get a bonus, but I'd like to see more of that. A party can go after easier mobs for a smoother, less stressful party, but they'd get experience points that are appropriate, but still good enough. If a party is brave enough and skilled enough to party on Soulflayers, they should get a ton of experience points.
Low drop rates do not make monsters easier or harder, just repetitive. The problem with staggers is that it's boring. It's a lot of standing around and waiting for a kill order if you're not doing the staggering yourself. Standing around is not engaging game play. And as far as jobs go, it's said there's only about 5 useful ones right now, but that's quite another discussion.
I don't see how crystals cluttering up one's inventory has anything to do with supply and demand. By all means, someone please explain it. I regret that I don't think you would be able to so in a civil manner, Tarage, so I'd hear it elsewhere.
Yes, they will actually. You omitted that healing magic, which White Mage has a high skill in, would play a much larger role. White Mage would caste Cure V with much greater potency, and therefore mana-efficiency, similar to a Black Mage nuking harder than a Red Mage with the same spell (yes, I know that's more about MAB and INT, resistances not withstanding).
Rousing Jig would be the Raise-Jig that the Dancer community is clammering for. A healing job that can't raise? And as for TP, I see it as nothing more than the equivalent of Summoner getting Auto-Refresh. With the JA SE mentioned, every job but dancer would get regain, so not give it to Dancer natively? At 1-2 TP per tic, which is already possible through other means anyway, I don't see how this breaks the game. At 1-2 TP per tic, quite some time is going to pass before they can do much.
Yes, it was. It doesn't take a degree in C.S. to see that standing around waiting for 10 minutes for an airship isn't engaging gameplay. As a fishermen, I'd rather wait 5 minutes than 10 for my boat.
You're misinterpreting the purpose. It's an Astral Flow countermeasure. No more gathering up every last mob in the zone. The range can be just enough so that kiters can do their job.
Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean that they don't have their own education in gaming and or programming. And what you are missing, sir, is a the ability to disagree without being disagreeable. It makes forums a more productive and pleasant place. You cannot say, "Lordscyon who seems to think that this is a chat room and he should just spout whatever moronic things are on his mind," and then turn around and say things like,"Gonna go cry to mommy?" "asspained," and "WAH" multiple times. One cannot remark upon someone's play skill when you haven't played with them, much less their age and education level when you've never met them. These remarks reflect much less on me, and much more on you. I sincerely hope, for your own sake, that you acquire it.

And now I see no point in even trying to explain all the things that are wrong with what you just said. It's pretty clear that you have no concept of balance, no concept of what makes a game fun, and no concept of a rational argument. My favorite is the "Astral Flow Countermeasure". That sums up your entire list. Complaints. "They aren't playing the way I want them to play, so they should be forced to."
Keep trying to sound sophisticated though. It's making for great sig material.
If I worked for SE I would more than likely get fired for putting some of them in their place for the total B.S. they have been pulling these last couple years.
Friendly advice, stop arguing with Panthera. I know you weren't there for the last time someone let him go on about Abyssea, but it was seriously something like 50 pages of absolute bullcrap. I'm pretty sure he still has me on ignore from that, like everyone else he decided he didn't want to listen to.
Edit: I remember what it was. He adamantly believed that playing the game in absolutely any way but the way he felt it should be played was straight up cheating. Yeah.
I would feed Tanaka to the Rancor.
Destroy them from the inside out...
Or fix the billing system.
RIP Shadowix 75 DRG-WAR-DRK
I would rather correct them so that they don't have delusions of what the world truly is. That would be harming their future if they believed that they can achieve something that doesn't exist.
And this forum isn't meant for kids. The game has a high enough rating that if you are playing, you shouldn't be considered a child anymore.
You're right, it's not.
Does this sound mature to anyone? I thought the bit about breathing water was particularly dignified.
Ridicule is not the same refutation. Paraphrasing does not prove your point. It takes a lot more than a patronizing tone to make you right. I admire your passion--I do--but you don't provide enough reason to persuade. You throw out conclusions without premises and supporting evidence, granting little weight to your pronoucements. Anyone can carry on in this way; it doesn't take a lick of talent or skill. And worse yet, you pick an easy target. Again, assuming he isn't trolling, there's misspellings, grammar issues... he may simply not be, how shall I say, academically inclined? It might be said of me that I'm doing much the same thing, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.
