It is amazing how many creative and well thought out ideas are being presented. Absolutely fabulous that people take the time to post in-depth research about why certain things (i.e. haste, accuracy, etc.) are important to macro in with gear. I enjoy reading these posts and hitting the like button every time I see a really unique, constructive idea. What I don't like is the number of people I see who, (apparently rather than add constructive criticism or more ideas) just focus on making the OPs thread all about them and stray the conversation off the original topic. I, personally, do not respond to these types of posters. Anyway my idea is this:
The like button can be used to let the moderators know that a particular post within a thread is getting a lot of hits. This means that post needs some attention because it:
A) has good information for other users
B) has a creative idea from a member of the player base that a lot of other players might like to see implemented.
If there were a dislike button it would also be able to give a heads up to the moderators of the forums that someone is being particularly undesirable in their responses to a given post. Rather than argue with any poster and clog up good threads with more garbage, we could simply hit *dislike* and continue holding discussions about the more relevant topic of the original post. It provides us all with a benefit including the attention wanter. They get to see a mass amount of dislikes so they know they were noticed. The original poster gets a clean thread so their message doesn't get lost. The rest of us get to acknowledge we didn't like that one person, while still being able to stay on topic.
Thanks SE for making this forum. It is really awesome knowing you are trying to listen to your player base. Many of us understand that while our ideas may be good they can not all be implemented. *simple fact* If you have a perfection, there is no reason to try to improve.
