The drop rate of the fidelity mantle from the NM Desmodont is way too low. It is a level 30 piece of equipment and I am 0/20some for the mantle with Treasure Hunter 3. If you check FFXI AH and ZAM you will see i am not alone.

I fought this nm also and i got the drop at around 15 kills. Keep at it you will get it eventually

I gave up on this one after about a dozen kills. There were more rewarding pieces to aim after. but yeah, the drop rate for this, and several other pieces is pretty rediculous low. SE already said they are re-examining NM drop rates for the Major version update. W/ the earthquakes, who know when that will be, but it should be soon. Lets see what they do.

I must've gotten lucky, drop on first kill when doing my marksmanship trial. Easy camp though.

wait, your complaining because you went 0/20 on a drop? seriously, you havent played long have you

as of right now im hovering somewhere around 0/100ish on huu muju, yes i eventually bought the boots but it became more of a principle thing, i just wanted to say i got the drop

First, I'm sorry you have had such trouble with the boots.

I've actually been playing for awhile. I just have always had better luck. I was 1/1 on huu muju <.<;; sorry. But my point is more the time camping the nm should be equal to the value of the item. This item unlike the boots isn't really an essential piece. Its not like there are alot of people camping it. The only other people there the whole time I was there were for the Magian Trial.

Also I think the drop rate on rare/ex items should be made a great deal higher than non rare/ex items.

Finally, I'm sorry if my post was kind of whiny. I was just annoyed from not getting the drop.

Really unlucky drops :|. I was reading on Okyupete and how low Shepard's drops were from it, yet went 3/4 on my Masa trials while hunting him, while reading testimonies of 1/37+. Random drop rates are totally random, and dunno what to tell you but to keep trying.
