Moving FFXI to a new netbook without a CD drive

I own a copy of the 2008 ultimate collection, and recently acquired an Alienware M11x in a contest, and much to my surprise, it has no CD drive. Is there a way I could perhaps, use my CD key to digitally download a new copy onto the new netbook without having to purchase yet another copy of the game (have 360, and PC -_-)?

I don't know of a way to download the game without having already bought it from steam, direct2drive, or Amazon.com.

If you're kinda tech savvy you could connect your 2 computers together and transfer the files from the DVD over to the new computer. You could buy a portable USB DVD drive. It'd be more expensive than buying another copy of the game, but it'd be useful further down the road.

If you already have an account you don't need a 'CD key' at all, so copying a CD on to a USB device will work fine. The game CD/DVD isn't copy-protected in any way so a simple drag/drop will work.
