    WHY?

    Just because you said so???

    I dont see a problem in corssovers, other FFs cant have said crossovers as they are complete encapsulated games, but... FFXI is the only (besides FFXIV) capable of updating its content, and flavor wise, is not that crazy.

    I know it would be pure fan service, but arent we like, the loyalest fans of any other FF game (as we play it for years)

    Dissidia and Kingdom Hearts are the only true crossover series that include Final Fantasy. All other Final Fantasy games had zero real crossovers, just cameos by other characters (Cloud in Final Fantasy Tactics, for example). Given that Abyssea is an alternate Vana'diel, it fits within the realms of Final Fantasy XI. Midgar would not. The Kingdom of Baron would not.

    I would be the first to tell you that it makes for a cool idea, but it has to be able to make sense as well. In this particular game, it can't.
