New content teasers?

Read the job adjustments and yeah it's nice I guess but what we need is some information on big new content updates. New stuff to do?

Abyssea is still awesome but so many of us are becoming capped on xp, merits, gear, abyssites and everything..even Emps. We need some more in-depth information on planned new content to keep people excited about the future, there has already been word that there are no plans for any kind of new expansion for the next 12 months so how about more info on last stand and anything else that is going to give us stuff to do.

Voidwatch was nice but almost nobody does it, more info on other stuff in the works please. :/

I hope you guys are gonna try harder at keeping intrest high than lately when the new MMOs come out. Things seem to be going back to pre-abyssea ways in the FFXI update world lately, boring updates with very little desire to excite the playerbase with new content.

Getting sick of seeing cheap easily added stuff to try keep players minimally happy instead of proper meaty updates that the game needs.

Hi we spoke to the development team about this but after talking to them about it they said that this idea would be too time consuming and difficult to implement, however you can look forward to seeing improvements to the variety of flowers available from the mithra NPC in Ru'Lude Gardens in the next update!

Judging from the manifesto info given yesterday I'd say it's pretty certain that they already have content planned to go together with the upcoming adjustments. We might end up seeing more mobs with the ability to change their dmg type weakness strength over time, gain aimmunity to certain enfeebles or elements, or overall resistance to certain moves.

We might also see instances of mobs that can lock out our ability to use WS which would make the DRK move in question a god send to them but at the same time a job like SAM will have it's ability cut in half because of WS being locked out from use in the battle.

It all comes down to the different variables they can work with. I hope that the above examples are things we actually see since it would allow each job to play a role, giving each job specific strengths and weaknesses against certain mob types or NMs.

They could make an NM that locks out weaponskills but specific dmg types critting can cause the aura to be broken allowing weaponskills to be used again. In this instance a war's ability to change it's dmg type would be of help, subbing thf to force a crit would also be of help, dnc's crit ability and so forth. Through there support of landing a crit and breaking the aura barrier they would allow jobs like SAM to work to their full potential again. There really are a lot of ways SE can play out the next series of content to add a challenging fun aspect to it rather then just using staggers to add another element to the battle. But ya I do think that we got a hint as to where they wish to take content and the ability to give every job a specific role in the party to be able to support one another.

As for the "Cheap" easily added stuff that's just the new way they are aiming to release content lol. Would you rather then still wait 3 months to patch up issues with new content? The fact they are being more on the ball about fixing issues and balancing content rather then waiting for the next VU is a godsend compared to what we use to get. The update we just got recently where they actually made job adjustment is something that we would have never seen or even thought they would do a year ago.
I think it's better to be grateful that they are pushing to patch and release updates as fast as possible rather then releasing big updates every three months. Also when the test servers go live we may see less version updates but only cause they'll have to spend less time on updates adjusting content since the test servers should be able to weed out any issues seen before it makes it into the game.
