Abyssea and the month after that probably still abyssea even after that the bulk of the community will likely still be in Abyssea catching up to the "hardcore" players.
Voidwatch was nice but how many people are doing it? A few and the items from it don't top Abyssea gear for the most part... What makes you think new content with the 95 will top Emp Weapons or Armor? How about what are the odds of having 180k-200k/hr EXP groups outside of Abyssea?
I'm sure at level 95 or 99 there will be new gear sets or updates to salvage gear that will outshine what is out there now. If there is not, well there really isn't much left to do being people have so many completed Empyrean armor+2 by now and the game will just come to a standstill and there will not be anything worth putting time into.
Those people would be the "hardcore" players I was referring to.
There are a lot of people running around in full Aurore/Perle/Teal sets at 90 what makes you think those who find +1 and +2 NMs "too hard" are going to be ready to move on once the cap raises? If a NM is hard at 90 it'll be easier at 95 thus they stay in the same zone finally trying to kill that NM.
These are the same players who only have Salvage gear because of Mog Bonanza what makes you think they'll suddenly start doing salvage?
Edit: BTW Salvage was never a PLD friendly event, hello MNK tanking![]()
