So here it is agian, teh thread titled "[DEV1003] Adjustments to Empyrean Seal Acquisition." What makes 1003 the right one to use? And if the MODs started it first, wouldn't that mean we can't start anything new?

I see a lot of these pop up now. Makes it pretty clear that they do not read the forum, just assume that if you write dev10XX you'll get attention from developers.

They put out a message in the "In development" section of the forums with a dev tag

Then we can make threads here using those tags so they know which pending update we are discussing.

Please post a list of ALL dev codes and the topic they relate to so we may post our topics "appropriately".

Also, having the ability to for the original poster to go back and edit the topic title so that they might add the dev code subsequently would be nice (as people become more familiar with this forum).

There is a list of all the Dev codes already - in the Updates -> In Development forum. If you want to discuss something they have posted as in development in that forum ( http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/fo...In-Development ) use the code they have provided there. Anything else you might want to discuss as ideas to develop does NOT have a code unless an SE official puts one in there. DO NOT make up codes, use the official ones. Making up a code will not make it official, and will be ignored &/or deleted I'm sure.

Guess I must be too dense (being galka and all) but went to the area you indicated and did not see any list of Dev Codes showing what each one covers (ex: 10xx: Dynamis, 10xx: Missions & Quests). Only noticed that the current posts seem to be sequential, is that the goal? From the way the original article is written, I understood that there were numeric tags dealing with specific topics not just plugging a number in front of a topic like you were pulling a tab number when getting in line at some service counter.
