Why is there still no private messaging system on this forum?

It's 2011, get with the program. Forums have private messaging systems.

Private Messaging systems are pretty basic functionality and come standard everywhere for good reason.

It wouldn't even be difficult seeing as how this forum is built on top of vBulletin.

So you're saying that SE needs to take up their time and resources to add a means for people to talk amongst themselves just because it's on the net and other systems let you do it regardless of what the system is meant for to begin with?
