Why does FFXI have such poor communication to its playerbase as opposed to FFXIV?

I know they are seperate games with seperate teams, but they are still the same company,

But if you go look at the lodestone right now, the amount of communication planning and updates by the Game Producer and dev team is AMAZING:

Who is our producer, why do we get nothing while another branch of the same company makes everyone look incompetent?






Very little progress, and then borking things like making cure do 999999 damage, then doing a maintenance that takes 8+ hours for a 2 hour update.

Whoever is Producer (Is it horrible Hiromichi?) for this game should take some lessons from the producer of XIV.
