Request for Name change service

You should pick a name you can live with. making it easy to change names means you'll see even more silly names than you already do, because they know they can change it if they decide a week later that they don't like it.

I think things that aren't meant to be changed shouldn't be changeable.

And that's why you make it cost money to do so. That way, SE makes more money off stupid people!

And it's not like he's saying "FFXI should do what Cataclysm did to WoW." He's just asking for a name change service. Many games offer it, to my knowledge.

It could be worse. Ultima Online, which might as well be considered the granddaddy of MMOs, has a paid service to have a character put near max levels.

Personally, my argument for allowing this service is that I've had the same name since NA PC release. I was less creative then, and my character name was taken from a character my ex really liked...It's a bit of emotional pain when I think about it now.
