Yes, the difference in stats is negligible, bar MP. But especially with Scholar, the most MP conservative job in the game, even that difference becomes negligible. SCH is the job that can get the highest combined form of Refresh in the game, and with Light Arts/Dark Arts, Stratagems, and Convert from /RDM, it conserves MP better than any other job, it always has.
All affirmations are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

The more you level SCH the less you worry about MP. Your Dark/Light arts will reduce MP cost down by 10%, you'll get Conserve MP as a job trait. You've got a series of stratagems and I'd argue most stratagems will save you MP (when used properly). I think maybe you'll want to wear 1 MP ring or something, I was advised not to spend money on MP gear and it was good advice, I've never ever really needed any. As a Galka you might want just the one to compensate a little. XD
Add that, sublimation will use a percentage of your HP in order to gradually build a storage of MP which can be activated when you wish. So if you're standing around like a lemon, you can build up a spare MP pool on top of what you've already got. When you can use stoneskin, you will be able to rest with sublimation and not lose an HP. It's why I subbed BLU between level 35 and 44 (for Metallic Body) and I still sub it when I do RJ runs on my SCH. So I can imagine a Galka would get the biggest sublimation pool out of any race.
The way in which sublimation works (from Wiki):
Charges until MP stored is 25% of your Max HP or HP is less than 50% (with stoneskin that won't be an issue, unless you get damaged)
At level 35 it will be 2HP = 2MP/tick
At level 90 it will be 2HP = 7mp/tick
Gear, such as Scholar's Mortarboard, Argute Gown, Savant's Earring and Siriti will offer an extra 1mp/tick.
SCH is a lot of fun in my opinion, so I'm sure you'll have great fun as a Galka SCH.![]()

MP is far less important to mage jobs than HP is to tank jobs. Galka make much better mages than taru make tanks.
Thank you all for the tips and advicenow I know I can go into SCH without having to worry.

Ah that was a stupid typing error, must have had '7' on the brain or something, I'll fix that. Thank you for noticing.
