    Job Specific Furniture

So since there seems to be a nice conversation about chairs going on, I thought about this a long time ago and thought I would suggest it. I thought it would be kind of cool to have job specific furniture items that one could quest for that would be a reward for doing something as said job.

    Examples:
Dragoon: Wyvern Perch - When put in Mog House, your wyvern would be perched on it. It could also (maybe) fly around your Mog House and do some of the already programed emotes (interactive or not).

Bard: Record Player - When placed in your Mog House, you have the ability to play songs from a select list of songs in your Mog House instead of the regular music. Music could be from any FF games as a treat and homage to the series.

Corsair: Smugglers Map - A magical wall mounted map of Vana'diel that shows real time movement of ships, airships, and ferries through the waters and skies as to know the best routes to travel to not get caught. (kind of along the same lines as the Mog House clocks you can get that tell real time.)

Puppetmaster: Display Stand - Allows you to show your Automaton in your Mog House. Same idea as Wyvern Stand as to the Auto could move around your house and do emotes (interactive or not).

Summoner: Astral Projector - Allows you to look in on your collection of summonable spirits you have brought under your control. Best way I can describe it is like a little projector that would show a little hologram of the spirits and avatars you have collected and would flip to a different one every few seconds. Maybe something like this

    or (in theory) this

    http://www.3dstereo.com/Merchant2/gr...space_proj.jpg

I know this wouldn't be job specific but we could also get one for completing our NPC storyline.

House Sitters Rocker: (here is were we could use a chair!) A comfy rocking chair for your fellow to sit in and help your Moogle watch your belongings while you are off adventuring. Two sets of eyes are better than one! This would allow you to show off your adventuring fellow (lounging around in its comfy rocking chair) when you enter your Mog House.

These are only the ones I could come up with in about 20 minutes. More suggestions, ideas, and CONSTRUCTIVE comments would be wonderful!!

    Edit:
Another idea just came to me but each one of these could have a Moghancement effect attached to it that would give some kind of a bonus to your character when placed in your Mog House. They would work and compete with the already in place Moghancement effects. The Moghancment would also be well worth having on each job since I would like to see this being difficult to obtain since, in theory and storyline, you have "mastered" said job. It would also be a nice enhancement for outside Abyssea play since there isn't access to atma's (on a side note, this is not a suggestion to add any atma type thing outside of Abyssea)
    Examples:

Wyvern Perch: Stalwart Companions - Gives a boost to HP, Magic Defense, and Physical Defense to both the Dragoon and Wyvern when the Wyvern is present.

Record Player: Musical Maestro - Gives a boost to the effects of all songs.

Astral Projector: Summoning Circle - Gives a boost to the effects of all blood pacts and a small decrease to perpetuation costs.

Please feel free to come up with more ideas!!!

OK, I came up with a way to implement these WITHOUT MAKING THEM A TOTM THING!!!

I thought that it would be cool to continue the storyline with Maat and include the storyline from the job acquisition (one would have to be made for the original jobs I guess) storylines. No new NPCs or anything would have to be added because you could use the ones already there and just make the actual fight for the item a BCNM. Basic idea of it is that when you hit 99 and you have no more limits to break, you go back to Maat (or other "limit break NPC" in case of other jobs) and they let you fight the one that taught them. Making these fights hard would be a must since you are supposed to know your job inside and out (no getting this with a leeched aby job! XD).

    Examples:

    Drg: Fight Cyranuce or Rahal

    Bst: Fight Brutus

    Blm: Fight Shantotto

    Drk: Fight Zeid

    etc...

I think this would be a really cool way to obtain these items and give us all a cool way to be able to fight the characters in game that we all strive to be like!!! What do you all think?

It's too complicated. You want to tone it down. Ie, no movement, only glowing stuff.
And there's already a musical instrument furniture that makes music every 22:00 game time.

    Stuffed Wyvern
An adorable plush wyvern, made to look like the real thing.
(Maybe have it show some zzz's at night time.)

    Stuffed Carbuncle
An adorable plush carbuncle, made to look like the real thing.
    (Has avatar glow)

    Automaton Toolkit
A collection of tools and spare parts to keep an automaton in top shape.
(Looks like a collection of tools and automaton parts like harlequin torso and head.)

And perhaps a stuffed crab for BST ;D

Other jobs can use mannequins to dress up.

I like the stuffed doll idea's. Really I think any kind of job specific reward would be cool considering when we hit 99 with it, what other reward will there be? lol. Like I said though, just some idea's I was throwing around. I agree that the movement may be a little to much but, hey, it would be fun!

As for my bard idea I was going more for something that you can play music in your MH, not just wait to listen to it.

Warrior: Training dummy (wooden dummy, bucket on its head, pieces of metal, a sword propped up leaning against it)

Monk: Punching bag (big propped up flour bags or something, looks really beaten up, maybe a pair of cesti or something laying at its feat)

Thief: Lock Pick Set (box of lock picks, bunch of broken open locks lying around it, a ring of keys, etc etc)

White Mage: First-Aid Kit (box of ribbons, cloths, ties, medicines, etc etc)

Black Mage: Forbidden Tome (Giant tome with the spell "Meteor" on it, depicting a giant meteor obliterating stuff, also has a bunch of papers spilled around it with gibberish on them, maybe a quill pen next to it)

Red Mage: Hat rack (must have AF1, AF2, and AF3 hats all sitting hanging on it, either wall mount or just a stand you put on your floor)

Paladin: Altana's Shrine (small shrine of some form tgo worship at, not as big and epic as the one craftable furniture, but decent nonetheless?)

    Dark Knight:

    Beastmaster:

Bard: Metronome (small metrone that sits quitly ticking back and forth, DING-tickticktick DING-tickticktick...)

    Ranger: Dartboard

Samurai: Incense burner (small, long holder with 3-4 incense sticks sticking up, all burning. A long Katana lies in front of it on a small holder)

Ninja: Ninjutsu Set (set of a bunch of ninjutsu tools all spilled out, some half assembled, others in a pile, you can see in the corner 3-4 Shihei all lying together)

    Summoner: ???

    Blue Mage: ???

    Corsair: Gambling Table

Puppetmaster: Kristal's suggestion of the automaton toolkit is good, I like that!

Dancer: Dressing room[M/F] (partially folded set of partitioned walls, the kind people change behind. Depending on the gender of the reciever, either the male or female set of AF can be seen flung up over the top the partitions. If you go around behind it theres a small stool and a piece of ribbon or two and a dagger lying on the floor around it.)

Scholar: Calculas Set (Set of mathematical tools all sprawled out amongst papers with diagrams, pieces of charcoal, etc. The more mathy it looks the better. Also theirs a pair of spectacles lying on top of it all)

I like the drk idea but I think that the blu one leaves to many options. What about a plaque inset with the 3 stones from the quest. I know you only have to collect one, but having all 3 for your MH would be kinda cool.
