Please don't change Warp II. I appreciate the changes to dynamis have made it easier because AFKing was a major issue there but it isn't the only scenario. Even if changed to 30s, no doubt someone would design something which alerts afk players that they're being d2'd. As a leader I want the ability to get rid of lazy players from abyssean alliances or players who have obviously fallen asleep. It's also nice to allow your friends/members to stay even when they have to go to bed if xping or potentially getting them an item and then d2ing them later.

I really don't want to think about how many good drops I've lost because of people either D2ing me too early or teleporting out of the area too quickly.
I'd be all for a prompt being added.
Sounds to me like alot of people don't know how to pay attention.
It also sounds like having to answer a prompt all the time is more inconvenient to me than being able to prevent premature warps which can generally be prevented by paying attention or moving away from the mage.

You expect people to pay attention to a system that lags horribly upon lots, passes, and drops from the treasure pool? You want people to be able to instantly recognize that tiny little icon disappear at the top-left of the party member window?
I like the suggestion of Warp III for higher level BLMs. Warp II for kicking people out the hard way, Warp III for giving people the option. If a BLM is ready to go and the party is done, it'd be cool to have Warp III around so they can just cast it on people then leave. Instead of having to wait and possibly waste minutes because of people being incompetent!
Can't count the numerous times where it's been stated, "pass or lot" multiple times and people still don't pass/lot.
I also think Warp and Warp II (Warp III if they added it, lol) should also have the same MP cost. They did it for Raise and Reraise, all three tiers (150 MP). Why no love for Warp?![]()

The recast is like 3 seconds. what sort of line are we concerned about?
/pcmd leave
Works
The recast time on Warp II is 10 seconds... by the time you can cast it again, it's 3-4 seconds cooling down, and if you're casting it repeatedly the timer does get extended by a little bit. It's not only that, but ending up waiting up to 5 minutes on a response "Yes/No" for "D2 {Do you need it?}" is a little annoying.
Maybe having "Warp III" act as a 1-hour buff on the target that they can select and it will bring up a confirmation window to activate the effect. But that might open up the door for abuse. :/

I was not concerned about a line - it was an offer of compromise to those concerned with the inconvenience of the confirmation window - and apparently, with no sarcasm at all, this short amount of time is a concern to some. So in that, the recast timer, short as it is, seemed like a resonable offer.
But, as Raxiaz pointed out:
Also, in non-Abyssea zones, (especially when dealing with subs, or while weakened) MP can be more time consuming than the actual recast timer - in that way a "Warpra," akin to Escape, would save some time. The recast time on Warp II is 10 seconds... by the time you can cast it again, it's 3-4 seconds cooling down, and if you're casting it repeatedly the timer does get extended by a little bit. It introduces other concerns when loot is the issue - and additionally, in Abyssea, some of the time you would be racing against the instant-cast of Atma of the Apocalypse./pcmd leave
Works
Not saying that this would not work in some instances - these were merely the thoughts your response prompted.
