Is it possible to add a yes/no window to Warp II?

    SE,

Is it possible to add a pop-up confirmation to the spell Warp II, so that it was like Tractor or Raise? Perhaps some might not think this is a big deal, but I have ecountered some rather frustrating moments (personally, as well as that have happened to others) with this spell.

I have seen eager BLMs, who mean no harm, start Warping party members at the end of an event - only to send someone who did not ask for it, thus clearing their built lights or wasting their time running back out to a far off destination.

I have seen mistakes happen where similarly spelled names have caused confusion - with the BLM sending the wrong party member back to their home point because of misreading the name of the requestiing character.

I have seen the person for whom the party was formed be Warped before the treasure pool clears, resulting in the wrong person receiving the R/Ex item that was intended for another - and the KIs spent to pop the NM had to be refarmed. Once, I have even witnessed this occurence happening intentionally.

Now, I realize that adding this confirmation window would remove the ability, for good or ill, to Warp those that are AFK. I also know that many of these occurences could be avoided by BLMs paying more attention, better communication between the other players and the BLM, or, in the one case, someone not being a jerk; but we all know that, while ideal, expecting these things to happen is not terribly realistic.

So, what do the other players think?

    SE, is this possible?

    Thanks,
    ~Anna

I see nothing wrong with a prompt menu. Folks that try to ninja lot can still be kicked out of a party by party leaders with quick fingers. The folks that AFK/Fall asleep will lose their time regardless of being kicked via Abyssea countdown or dying from agro and being warped back to their home point. I've suffered from the instances you describe above plenty of times, so it would be nice avoid the mistaken D2 from now on lol.

If they could do this though, I would also like to see confirmation menus for select spells to be cast on players by players such as Sleep, Poison, Paralyze, Blind, Break, and other spells that have gear associated with these specific types of enfeebles. We have medicines that accomplish these effects so I never understood why we couldn't have a mage save us the gil by just casting the requested spell via a "Yes or No" prompt menu. For example, we have Sneak and Invisible spell options as well as Prism powder and Silent oils that achieve the same thing. It wouldn't crash the market for these meds either, since folks that love to solo could still use meds if they didn't have the mage available to cast the enfeebles needed to activate the gear in question.

    Prompt menu that forces the effect after 30 minutes of not choosing either option: {Yes, please.}

Nah, auto-cancel after 30 minutes. AFK'ing should not be rewarded.

I don't understand. They're not being rewarded by being warped by force - which is exactly what would happen after 30 minutes elapsed.

Absolutely no. Warp II must remain as it is to enable people to remove unwanted players from the area.

I realize this was mostly used in Dynamis; but It should remain as it is.

Why? This was only good in Dynamis when you didn't need to be in the party to lot. As it is now there is no need for it to be the same. If people AFK in parties in Abyssea as an example, you kick them and let them waste time.

Finuve: That would better be labeled as "On" ("Enable") and "Off" ("Disable") rather than "yes" and "no" because some people might see "no" as "always decline warp II"

Alhanelem: The only places left where loot is zonewide are WoE and Einherjar. Unwanted people tend to be out of party anyways, which prevents you from casting Warp II on them. In any other situation, you can kick them from the party or alliance.
