It shouldn't have been implemented years ago. It makes you put more thought into your appearance selections, and keeps people from doing things like coming up with dumb names they regret using a week later.

If you want to play dressup or cosmetic surgeon, go play any F2P game, all of which have 10 times more appearance options than any paid subscription MMO.
