More Info About Race Change.

Since Camate is the most active here on the forums and I don't want him and (I don't know his forum name) Matt to go in a arm wrestling match to post, I have a simple question and request.

A Few Months ago during the Weekly Q&A The question about Race Change was denied due to equipment issues..... I was wondering if you guys can ask the devs or give us more specifics in why this was denied because I am desperate in wanting to have my main character in a new race/form.

Back when I first started this game.... I was a HUGE NOOB.... For real.... but I learn alot of the mechanics all by myself within a week or so and learned how to use the Auto chat system and everything. FFXI was my first MMORPG I ever played and I started because it was a FF game and I say a Trail disc that was only $3. So I tried it.... made my character (A Elvaan) not knowing about any of the glasses or about the history in the races and jobs..... and went with what I have.... But a year later after I finally hit 75 in my WHM I started feeling really distant with my race.... my heart and soul was dragged more to a Tarutaru and I felt more tarutaruish then elvaanish.... I could not start over from the beginning again because I worked so so hard and made my character great as it was....

I started a new character and made it a Tarutaru and loved it from that moment forward and had lots of good times and made me love myself and felt more whole inside since... but I still felt incomplete as I wanted to make it my main but couldn;t because of so much work I have and wanted to do on my main as it was....

Yes I do know abyssea is here and I can get to 90 in a snap these days... but that does not help me relive the lost times. So Please I am begging you from one honorable player to the Leads and to Altana herself.... can you please see if there is anyway this can be implemented or explained in more detail..

I want to be a true Tarutaru that everyone can see... not a fake one that only I can see.... But I don't really want to use the 3rd party windower because My Gaming Tools I use will not work on the 3rd party one.

Would be nice to have a name change option to. I don't see the big deal with why we can't change our names if we want to. World of Warcraft offer these services for small fees. Seems like a no brainier to me for Square Enix to make some easy money.

On wow your name and character mean next to nothing, nobody really has a main as you can level a new char free for every job you wish to play. On FFXI your character is your main and that is your identity, I doubt they will ever do name or race changes as part of the game system.

I don't really want a race change ability. Your race gives you a sense of identity in the game.

There is no info on a race change because it will never happen.
