lolRelic Weapon? SE what have you done?

As title said, SE needs to rethink what they have done and going to do with relic weapon.

Relic is the hardest piece of weapon to obtain and now it turns out to be an laughable topic in game because its weapon skill damage is so weak that most relic owner would just use something else.

As a relic owner I'm terrified and very upset every time I log-on and wield my relic weapon, especially when an emp weapon can easily one-shot an IT aby mob...

Think about it SE, they way it is now it's definitely off balance. People with relic weapon (like me) lost trust in you.

Can you advise? Or at least tell us that this is the way you want relic to be or you will do something about it.

I'd just wait until 99. SE said that they were gonna make the relics match up to emperal in the end. Im not surpized they make those weapons a little better to start with so that people would have a reason to get them but now that abyssea will have less of a focus im sure they will fix relics in the 99 magian trials.

I concur with the OP. It's depressing being told numerous times that I should start working on the Empyrean when I just finished spending 150mil about 6 months ago for the Relic. And truth be told, if I had a group that worked on Empyrean weapons, I would. Then my Relic would be demoted to mannequin duty.

That, and they were almost immediately outclassed by Empy weapons... You had 5+ years to get a relic weapon, you had like 1-2 to get a mythic -- and they were significantly harder to get.

SE have always said that relics are not for the masses and out of reach of 80% of players, I know that at the moment Emph weapons seem like the better deal but Im posotive when 99 lands you will be happy with w/e relic you have and what SE has done for you

This, even though I still think they are lucky to even getting the option to upgrade them. No other game offers that.

No other game has weapons that take 4 years to upgrade either.

See my "Ultimate Virtue Weapons" suggestions. Rather than keep boosting "old" equipment, SquareEnix just needs to allow the, to be "tradeable" items for a final elite weapon that requires all 3 endgame weapons(relic,mythic, and empreyean). This weapon would allow players to unlock all weaponskill per type.
