I don't take things personally, so no it has nothing to do with you. I don't know why you'd think that.

I haven't used AVG in a long time, personally, but their 9.0 Free release was pretty screwed. Piles and piles of false positives, and the support for the free version dropped dramatically over time. BG had a sticky in the Tech forum for a long time compiling all the issues with AVG (can't really find it now, so it may be better. I just have a long memory with software).

And for the record, BG Tech has nothing to do with BG FFXI. BG's FFXI forum is something like 5-10% of the total traffic on BG, and most of the non-FFXI posters haven't played FFXI in years if they ever did at all.
