Considering its info could be posted elsewhere (like GamerEscape) it's not FFXIAH that provided the answer, it was the user. They could have just as well posted on the official BLU forums here. I never went to BlueGartr because that's an elitist's forum. At least it used to be way back when. -Especially- when it first went public (was a private LS forum at one point, wasn't it?). The only information there worth reading would've been the end-game strategies and the "this is what puts out the biggest numbers in damage, so this is what you need to use/do" topics.
Point is the info wasn't posted elsewhere also I believe if I'm not mistaken the one who posted the guide on ffxiah is one of those "elitist" posters on BG forums.
Guides such as the one I linked are likely not posted here because the demographic of posters on here isn't that of the kind that would provide a constructive discussion about the better/best gear/atma/buff options tested like ffxiah has done/is doing. Also the user base is much larger overall on ffxiah than here. I'd wager even larger than gamerescape/wikia for people who would give input.
As far as I ever knew about BG forums, they were private in the sense you needed to be registered to see some stuff other than that I don't think there was ever anything like "LS members only" phase for BG as a whole but that could have been before my time browsing BG.
It was a website that the elitists on the FFXI GameFAQS boards praised. That was easily five or six years ago, though. Before wiki was even made.
Only gimps complain about elitists because they don't put the effort into getting that good at the game.
auto ban for NPCing items you bought with cruor? someone explain this to me, you earned the cruor, you should have the right to do with it as you please, if SE doesnt want you to NPC it for gil then they should not make it sellable to NPCs
I haven't been banned from NPCing but there were "stories" about "legit" players getting banned for NPCing too many Beastmen's Blood(I think that's the drop from the leeches in Bubu) a few years ago when RMT used to use bloods from leeches/bats and remedies to generate a lot of gil without having to worry about the economy
