Gil is really a nothing now, I used to have to really work hard to make it. Now I have more than I know what to do with, I usually make around 500k-1m a week and I'm not even trying to make it.

Making dominion notes and crour you can get gil very quick. Just be careful dont npc everyday or very often. FFXI have auto ban system. Take care.

At low lvs you can farm black tiger fangs and ladybugs.

A good craft still making some profit is alchemy, Woodworking and cooking. Good luck

The FFXI economy not is the same like 1 - 2 years ago, but i feel more comfortable with this economy. No more hours and hours of craft and farm just for get the necesary money for meds/food/reraise.

Cooking only has money of you have high fishing or key items. Otherwise you can still make a good proffit margin, but when the end result only sells for 4-6k, you're better off farming something instead. Woodworking only has money if you have decently leveled bonecraft and are already high level so you can HQ. No HQ, no proffit. As for alchemy? No clue, never touched it.
I suggest wild onions. Drop fast, sell fast.

Not really. It's nigh impossible to find the phrygian ore on AH to make them because it's basically the only money maker for Goldsmiths now. If you don't not have a life to camp the AH then good luck ever making a dime on them.

There is really no need anyway, only players I know that are hungry for mass amounts of gil (ones that are found mercing stuff etc) are almost always pure RMT players, aside from that gil has lost it's alure.

Also, not sure if this is the case anymore, but when the CoP cap was raised there were some interesting gil-making opportunities that opened up.

Use your cruor to buy Teal, Aurore and Perle gear, NPC it, just be careful not to do it multiple times a day as has been stated. Alchemy is a really good craft to level. People always need echos, silent, prism and a few other items. It's not hard to level either, nor is it expensive. Gardening, if you have the motivation to check plants everyday can make some decent gil. All you have to do is check daily, so almost no effort involved. If you can log in, you can check your plants.

Except there's a better cruor to gil ratio which is better than npcing those sets.
