It places a cursor over your name in the alliance player list. You use up / down keys to select the target then enter to cast the spell. Because the target is being selected on the alliance list...
Works with any and all -other- targetable spells, even party only ones like Regen and Refresh. I've since never missed a cure / buff due to someone blinking like mad.
Much Much simplier method.
/ma "Cure X" <stal>
will put a -> arrow on the alliance member list, use up / down to select your target.
