I've been holding ballista events from time to time but Shiva's not very active outside of that. We definitely had a fun time at the last event though, and I have some screenshots relating to the event support I recieved:

Wouldn't it be cool if there were Ballista only areas that were cross server (between all servers)? =/ I'd imagine it'd be near impossible to implement, but there's so little support for Ballista anymore that it seems like it'd take all Ballista players across each server just to support a (good) match.

Perhaps renewing interest would be the way to go. Ballista started becoming unbalanced anyways... maybe Ballista exclusive gear with effects that only come into play during a match could work. This gear should be easy to obtain and have little to no effects outside of Ballista.

Equipment rewards exclusively from Ballista (with effects designed for outside of Ballista) would encourage players to join, too. I really miss PvP the way it used to be =/

Just because you get tossed around like a baseball doesn't mean everyone else does.

I agree to this, Phoenix used to be one of the most active and we have a decent group of people that do it.

I often find the response of "Oh yea I want to but I don't know if anyone else does."

So I find that there's a bunch of people that like it but just floating around separated, but if you transfer to PhoeniTitan, I'll play with you. :|

Anyway, can anyone from Lakshmi confirm their ballista activity for me? Ballista scene died last year on my server and my LS is looking to relocate for it.

Ballista is a coop game. Even if the vast majority of PvPers don't want to think so.

Just give titles, and some auras, and advertise the game.

FFXI has a great battle system and PvP system, and I don't know what a coop game is, but whatever it would only better the game.

Its not like PvE is hard in this game, its rather pathetic.

This. Especially in more recent (Abyssean) times. PvP is always competitive, PvE just isn't a challenge anymore. About the only thing challenging about PvE is getting a clean proc on staggers.

There are Ballista titles, actually. It's just that you can only set your title to them if you have the appropriate chevron.
