Eco-Warrior & The Gustaberg Tour

Getting help for these quests has become nearly impossible, as people look for 'profit' over 'fun' in this videogame nowadays and won't 'waste time' on activity that involves no great rewards. I know there's people out there like me who still like to at least do this content once, just to see it in the Complete Quests log, and so I'd appreciate if dev team could do anything to help us. Here's a suggestion for each.

Make The Gustaberg Tour no longer require a party of six. Two, at most three people requirement would be fine.

Raise level cap of Eco-Warrior to give the player a chance of solo/duo/trio it with some challenge. I think lv30 would suffice.

More suggestions are welcome. Please dev give me some hope!! I hate to see some of the game's fun cut out from me because of population decrease :(

Completely agree. I'm such a completionist, it really bugs me to see them always in the incomplete list. :(

that will be hillarious when u have lvl 95+ mobs added this update running eco warrior if anyone tried them anymore no more zone clearing before hand for easy runs hahaha

I would too appreciate the devs re-evaluating some of these older quests. I have 1 Eco-Warrior left to do and I dread the day I have to shout for an entire day just to gather a party of 12~18 people ...

Maybe less with a higher job coming to help. (which is cheating!)

It's been one of my goals since I started playing this game, complete every quest in every city and such. I maybe be crazy ... but I'm DEFINITELY crazy! :O

I agree with you Kjara. it would be nice if the dev. team could re-design the older quests.

PS: We should talk with our friends and get them to talk about this here in this thread. spread the love and get some people talking about this problem.

There are other Quests that have similar problems. One example is Assaults. Since you can only get 3(4) tags every so often no one wants to help new people do assaults cause they don't want to wast tags they need for Nyzul and such.

The problem with The Gustaberg Tour is that you need a job that is level 5 or under... which you can't level sync too which means that some players can run the risk of not being able to ever complete it if they level all their jobs fast enough. That's sort of the biggest problem with the quest... not necessarily finding people to do it, but finding people who have level 5 jobs who can do it.

If SE wanted to maintain the challenge of the quest, they could make it so that you need to talk to an NPC at the North Gustaberg/South Gustaberg zone that syncs all party members down to level 5, and you could proceed like that. The quest only takes minutes and shouldn't be hard to get a group of friends to do it if they don't have to struggle to find a job leveled under 5.

Eco-Warrior's problems are compounded by the fact that people can't cancel an Eco-Warrior once it is flagged, and not only that, are unable to help others who have others flagged. I've met a bunch of people who want these quests done but have different ones flagged, and since you can't unflag the quest, they just can't help each other, which is kind of a bummer... honestly that's the biggest thing hindering eco-warrior to me at this point, sure there is a little bit of a lack of interest but you can get a full alliance's worth of people on the server who want to give it a go if they can unflag one and pick up another.

And bring Garrisons back! I loved those... just give them some new drops with decent stuff and people will do em.

kind of a shame i remember our ls running eco warrior for each city weekly as whole alliance was a blast :)

Hopefully they will give this thread the same attention in the near future!

I agree with giving us a sync to do Gustaberg tour, especially since many people leveled their jobs past lvl5 before even noticing the quest.

As for Eco-warrior... It was always fun running through Ordelle's caves with my linkshell, killing things as we ran through. We be great if we could cancel the quest in order to do another one.

Wonder if the higher level monsters will really hinder Eco-Warrior from happening now.

Just can't get those quests done, even the escort one in Dangruff Wadi is now not possible. I tried it solo, pretty much sure I could solo it 5 years ago but today after 5 hours finally got him to not disappear from seeing me, but due to mob respawn rate he spent so much time fighting stuff that he gave up 4/5 of the way through.

Yet another ass who completely ignores the fact the game landscape has changed entirely from the 'good ole days'. As someone just above pointed out, these days it's nigh on impossible to find many others who want to do this old content and most long standing players (like you are probably) won't do anything without it being made worth their while.

I like the idea of an NPC syncer... Since I can't see SE do something like remove the cap or allow Level Sync command to go under 10. Please devs let us know what can be done about this!

I totally agree about the new mobs with eco-warrior; faster respawn rate on the escort quest? i haven't tried that again, and i don't want to...makes some older quests unplayable. I would love to be able to cancel any quest, really. And totally agree with the Garrison re-vamp idea... and bring back ballista, too... strange-looking moogles in jeuno? interesting. Keep things fresh, I say. Gotta have a balance.

This is something that's been on my mind, too. I hope they help us out with this one!

I'd just be happy if we could cancel Eco-warrior. My LS friends would love to do it but we're all stuck on different ones.

Doing Eco warrior as a total noob back in 04' with my 1st LS is one of my fondest memories in this game :) Was back b4 all the elitism, and knowing how absolutely everything functioned etc etc made people the tired, cranky, and generally angry sorts they are today.

It would be amazing if they updated the quest for multiple level caps. Even though most of the eco warrior runs I did were complete failures it was still fun.
