Home country warp

I think there should be a spell that warps you to your home country. Now, I know there's a lot of ways that can get you there, but I think having a spell that gets you to your home country would be a great addition to Warp and Retrace, and you wouldn't have to use tabs or go to Whitegate and use a silver piece.

Well going by the animation of Repatriation, if it did exist it would be White Magic. That said, I hope it doesn't come to pass.

This has already been suggested in the SCH forums. I'd say SCH needs it more than BLM does.

Given that White Mage has the teleport spells and Repatriation, I see WHM having this spell if it were to ever come to light.

However, given that, I hope it's a quest-only scroll with a WHM Lv.40 requirement. It would be the WHM version of "Warp II," so to speak ^^

Yes, and at 40, it would work with subjobs. I think this is best suited for White Mage not Black Mage, but it does not need to be level 40. It could be level 48 or so. Perhaps they could make it a tad higher than the last White Mage teleport spells.

whm should get it at 50, just to be just out of reach of the subjobs muahahahaha

seriously tho, I would love if whm got this, sometimes it's a slight hassle to get to your home city...not difficult or anything, just irritating.

I am thinking that this is not something a spell is needed for. I would prefer an item such as the Sprinter's Shoes. A nice stylish pair of shoes to warp you home at once. That way every job may have it! Perhaps a pair of Diamond Slippers?

Edit: On second thought I did not enjoy the look of diamond slippers and believe Ruby Slippers will display better on the screen.

Isn't there an item which already warps everyone in a party to their home nation? We just need that :)

Is there? I've only ever seen the one that retraces you to your home nation.

If you are interested in an item that warps you to your home countries then I would recommend the teleport earrings -http://ffxi.gamerescape.com/wiki/Federation_Earring - They now have a 1 hour recast and are very easy to solo with synergy(did mine with 0 skill).

As for a spell, I would love for it to be an AoE, then I could Tele people to their countries and stop by and do guild points while I'm there :P

Spells like Teleport/Escape force the caster to go along with those teleporting and then come back if they have no business there. A format like Warp/D2 where only the subject is sent to the desired location is more flexible IMO.

I've thought about this a lot with my friends, and I personally think it should be a BLM spell. Even if it looks like "white magic", think of it this way: What do teleports (the staple transportation of a WHM) do? Take you to a specified location in the wilderness(including recalls).What do warps (the staple transportation of a BLM) do? Take you to a familiar, safe place that can be used to regroup(escape still takes you to a semi-safe place, out of the dungeon you're in).

I also don't think SCH should get this, just because they're tacticians and it doesn't seem very beneficial to the battle if you warp your allies to their homes -.-
