Wishlist for Items Stackable to 99

Hi, everyone!

In the past, we've received requests to see if certain items can be stackable to 99.
This task would be difficult as it would require changing some fundamentals in the system.

However, we'd like to take a step forward with this plan. Allow me to explain the details.

The reasons why these changes are going to be difficult is that we must temporarily make the possible listed items unavailable for sale or purchase in the auction house (minimum of 10 days or until the next version update). Additionally, depending on the scale of the update, the auction house system itself may need to be temporarily suspended. Again, this could take anywhere from a minimum of 10 days to the release of the next version update.
One last factor to note is that not all the items requested may not be possible to update to stack up to 99.

Please note that after this update, any items that can be listed on the auction house will need to be sold in singles or stacks of 99 only after this update.

We ask that you please take the above factors into consideration and if you have any items in mind that you'd like to be able to stack to 99, we'd like to hear from you!

As we'd like to collect and relay the information to the development team in a timely manner, we'd like to ask you to submit your suggestion on this thread by Tuesday, May 28th at 7:00 p.m. (PDT).

Oh god, this is gonna get out of hand fast... Just make every single item stack to 99. Forget stacks of 12.

Why not just increase the default stack size from 12 to 99? You can remove AH history for 12-stack items, and then let your players fill the AH with 99-stacks as we get them.

If you also were to give us more sellable-AH slots as a result, that would be cool. Otherwise, Pet Food Theta and all Pet Broth items.

Because not everyone wants 99 items, some items are very expensive also.

All Analysis crystals for the escutcheon questline as they aren't sellable, but also maybe have them storable to the ephermeral moogle instead? If you have a load of guild points, people who like to mass craft can end up going through a load, and both would reduce the time of going back to the npc, getting more out, craft, repeat

All Crystals and Clusters.

(Yes, this is more than one item, but do you really want me to make 16 posts?)

(edit: clusters should still convert to 12 crystals, only because of the storage system)

That would help a lot, not only for crafting and having to juggle space with ingredients, but long-term Job points and EXP parties/solo.

Sorry if this is a bit broad, but this would require 20+ pages of posts these seperately...

I would suggest All items that are EX and not rare.

This would mean items like Mog Kupons, Mog Pells, and Abdhaljs seals.

Same as above, sorry for being broad...

Pet items that are sold by NPCs for cheap and stack only to 12.

This would include BST biscuits BST jugs, and PUP oils.

Alternatively, if this isn't possible, adding a quiver style item for these like arrows and ninja tools have would be nice.

Cursed items that can't be equipped.

These items are pretty much just crafting materials, so stacking them to at least 12 would be nice.

Final broad category of items I can think of...

Crafting items sold by NPCs for cheap.

The value of cheap may differ by person to person, but I'm thinking of items like copper ore and arrowwood logs and lumber that you can buy from NPCs at unlimited quantities.

Make it possible for Rema ammo to be turned into pouches/quivers. Ridiculous that this isnt already a thing

I just wish we could sell more than 7 items at a time. I have a lot of junkies waiting in my bags.

Rather than changing things from 12 to 99 would it be feasible to make all stackable items stack to 99 but still allow them to be put on the auction house as either 1, 12 or 99? Would alleviate the need to clear these items from the AH since stacks of 12 would remain viable and would allow players more options for selling and buying.

Frontier Soda, and other drinks. Since these items give a buff effect rather than tp/hp/mp immediately on useage, I don't think making these items stack can be seen as exploitative. Not allowing them to stack is only negative on players who don't have the free inventory to carry a lot of them individually. The same can be said for medicines. The ones that give a medicated effect already have a system in place to make continual use prohibited.

In regards to Frontier Soda, I think it should also be possible to stack it to 99 since it can't be crafted and the main source for getting it is an NPC vendor.

more accurately the most ideal thing would be to allow an arbitrary number, but the way th e auction house is designed with stacks getting their own listings, I don't think this would be feasible.

There are lots of fish that are still unstackable - Gugru Tuna and Grimmonites come to mind immediately, but there are many others. Even some tiny fish like Elshimo newts are unstackable for some reason.

I think that these stackable fish should still only stack to 12, however, and not 99.

I understand that these are ranked fish with size data embedded in the item, which makes this tricky. Perhaps there could be an NPC in the Fishing Guild who can measure a single stackable fish to convert it into the unstackable variety, with size data, for fish ranking.

Choosing to be able to sell a stack of 12 or a stack of 99 on the auction house would be nice. However, I suspect this mechanism is fairly deeply embedded.

With the current state of the economy I can tell you that is never going to happen. At least on Phoenix most servers are dead you would be lucky to sell even one item a week off the Ah. Ive had crystals and cluster up for auction for over a week and they are not selling due to the fact the population is only around 400 players. Phoenix is in really bad shape. I don't know why the phoenix server has not been merged with another world yet but it needs to happen population is way to low to have any type of economy system on that server.

Because one would have to choose at the time of purchase, and we can only get 3 per month. You'd have to accumulate 14 over 5 months, to benefit from stacking or storing.

Regarding back vouchers, it's a shame that we even have to ask for it, because SE added the vouchers some 2-years AFTER creating Ambuscade ...so we bought a bunch of capes to hold on to or to meet our 3/month limit, eating up previous inventory space, AND then they come out with vouchers. -_-

How about Silent Oil's stacks to 12 but crafting be nice at 99-stack = sneak, same Rainbow/Prism Powders stack at 12->bring them up to crafting a 99-stack = invisible ;). Just thinking and posting while I remembering this until I remember others but crafting side of things anyway's. :cool:

I was just thinking about this yesterday, good timing bump.

I want Crystals to stack to 99 (no, that doesn't mean clusters need to stack to 99, nor that clusters need to give 99 crystals upon use)

Stack all stackable food to 99.

All food items used in chocobo raising. IE Sharug Greens, vomp carrots, zegham carrot, etc.

All Vagary items stackable to 99, ie dark matter, plovid flesh, defiant sweat, etc.

Rotten Meat Fishing Bait.

It's the only bait I believe that does not stack to 99.

Also, remove the rare tag from "Bottled Pixie" and let it stack to 99.
I /dig them up a lot. It's not worth a trip to Grauberg to do it for one, but if I could go there and drop a whole bunch on the NPC at once, I think some returning player would be thrilled to see pixies in starter zones.

With the new new apex mobs in promys, please make the memories stack to 99. IE burning memory, bitter memory, fleeting memory, profane memory, startling memory, somber memory, etc.
