A repatriation spell?

Ever since "Repatriation" has been available from Fields of Valor, I've wished that it could be available nautrally as a magic spell. I've always loved having my Homepoint in Bastok for all the easy access through OPs and Aht Urhgan teleport, but at the same time I like having my HP in other places across Vana'diel (currently I have it in Port Jeuno for Abyssea as most others do).

How about we get a low level black magic spell called "Repatriation," which can warp us back to our home nation? Preferably this spell could be used with blackmage as a sub, but doesn't have to be targetable on any player but yourself similar to "Warp."

What do you guys think?

With so many different ways to get around, i really don't see a need.

I certainly wouldn't oppose it, but not sure why it's needed.

I've been hoping for this spell for some time now.

Haha well honestly I'm open to just about any mage job having it, just as long as I can use it with that job subbed. xD;; I only suggested blackmage since it seems similar to warp!

Yea I've been thinking the same thing. But I think it should be a WHM spell, rather than BLM.

I don't think it's likely to happen, as a spell. Black Mage already has Warp, this would just be redundant. White Mage can only travel to telepoint crystals, which the nations don't have, and none of the other mage jobs have travel magic as it is, so it's unlikely they would get it. While one could argue that it's similar to Recall, which Black Mage gets, one can also say that Recall's existence is a function of -- okay this forum really needs a SPOILER tag because I'm not about to spoiler WotG plot elements -- anyways I think Recall only works because of certain plot elements, which is why I don't think BLM will be getting a Repatriation-type spell.

Also, the name of it ("Repatriation") really doesn't fit with the BLM theme.

More likely, I think, is that it may show up on something like a Warp Cudgel or Treat Staff (or Tidal Talisman). And I would like to see that.

Give "Repatriation" arrows to rangers and we can shoot players with it. Then RNGs will be useful again! But probably not. XD

Id like that, but its as likely to be available as my pheonix down request. I would like easier access to my home nation since most the time im only homepoint to a place with a functioning AH and adventurers like WG and now lower jueno. But alot of times i wanna use my Outpost NPC since i have all outposts so that means at least 5-10 minutes travel time to get to my home nation and it sux everytime. Since i dont do fields of valor i dont have the credit to get repatriation. Id even like to see an rare item with this spell x10 too, that would prolly be more likely.

I posted the same idea before, but in the sch section since i think it's more a sch spell to have, we don't have TP yet, and sending wounded soldiers back to their home seems sch's like to me).

I'm thinking that it's not going to be necessary once the new Abyssea teleport guys are stationed in the 3 nations like the devs said they were going to in someFAQ thing from Feb.

Give us a Repat spell, as well as a scroll bought with CP/IS.
Repat should at least go to WHM, if not BLM and so-on.

Sch also....give them a travel spell..

Maybe also a teleport to pt leader like the Nexis Cape

i would think the most likely way this would be implemented is as a scroll bought from Tabs or perhaps Cruer

Wait... wait... breaking new ground: Red Mage! More seriously, BLM, WHM, SCH, any of these? On first read was opposed to the SCH suggestion, but it could probably be brushed off as a battle tactic, right? Sensibly, whatever job Campaign Arbiters are! Using them to warp back from Campaign is sort of like Repatriation... while in the past... or something.

I'd really like this as a spell, scroll, or item enchantment, though - however, I suppose I could save up a ton more tabs from Fields of Valor or something. They just go away so quickly...
I raised my first Chocobo this past month, and I didn't check up on it at home as much as I would have liked to, just because going home is a hassle. Using Horst > Outpost Warp home has been sufficient, but I think until we have Abyssea warps (unless we'd still need to pick up stones in Port Jeuno?) in the starting cities, I'm saving up a lot of tabs before the next Chocobo.

Ever since I've seen the outpost NPCs cast this spell, I've always hoped it would become an addition to the game itself. Unfortunately that never happened, but it's never too late I suppose. I would welcome this kind of addition.

I just wish they reduced the tab price when you use it from the FoV book. It's too expensive!

No more than a BLM retracing you to your nation of allegiance in the past. Give it to BLM - it's just like retrace for the present.

i like this idea of this, most of the time i have warp to attowa chasm and then run to op to get back to sandy which is an irritating waste of time.

If not a spell then maybe a warp npc like the one in wg that sends you back to your home nation, although i know they will complain that is what the airships are for LOL
