Spell Icons for BRD

Now that we can see the buffs/debuffs on party members, can we get separate numbered icons for each of our songs. IE All minuet would be same icon, but with 1,2,3,4,5 to differentiate which song is active.

Yes plz. As brd we would have no idea which buff goot dispeled. So that would be great......

We have no plans to add a system that would display identifiers to help differentiate which songs are active.

Why can't they at least just be different colors, the same way that they are different colors in the spell list? This wouldn't tell us the exact specific spell, but it would at least be slightly useful to assume that we have attack buffs on if we see a red icon and such.

That's disappointing as what is the point of the focustarget for brd? Yes we can see the NUMBER of songs but unable to confirm which songs are on. The issue I run into as that even though we can see the range of our songs, sometimes the battlefields prevent me from getting further when I have to use Daurdabla to get 3 and 4 songs up.

We're not asking for a separate system, all we're asking for is either colors or different icons for each type of song, instead of using the same song icon for every single song. I don't know how game is setup but it is really that hard to redesign icons for each songs?

The DAT file for status effect icons actually has a unique entry for each song type icon, but the icon is copied and pasted so that every song entry has the exact same icon. There are DAT mods out there, and have been for years (I think Brandson did his in 2005 or so) that color them all to appear differently. The same thing is the case with COR rolls, and was fixed by such a thing. SE could easily just modify those icons, the engine already is built to allow it. It's not built to allow multiple icons for each type, but even the color coding helps.

The next version update is scheduled for early May.

The main feature for May is a new alter ego enhancement questline.

Other additions include changes to song buff/debuff icons and the monthly adjustments to Ambuscade.

They are doing something to differentiate between buff/debuff songs so that you can tell more easily when you have a debuff song on you/others. Not between different tiers of the same buff.

Even if it's just coloration to see which is a minuet and which is a ballad will be an improvement.

Well SE only colored the enhancement spells and the enfeeble spells. A step forward but since they were already coloring it why not color each individual type of song with a different color. IE not asking for different icon for each tier of minuet, just that minuets would be 1 color, ie maybe red, minne woudl all be one color,ie blue. Seems lazy to me to only do it by enhancement and enfeeble only.
