Thank you so soo much for giving us massive reductions in entering content for relics and mythics. (once you get the appropriate K.I. of course.)
Now I might finally accomplish my goal of getting a kenkonken despite having a job and classes!

I wonder if similar reductions is forthcoming for empyrean and ergon weapons..
Its quite possible that the moogle shop III bonus you get from the last KI sells heavy metal plates or something. :x
how do you get this key item ?
It says you get them by progressing through Rhapsodies of Vanadiel, which should mean that they are mission completion rewards. Just do the missions.

This update... wow... color me amazed.
In the short term, this update is very rewarding, in the long term though it just solidifies the concept that this game is going to die shortly after RoV, all these changes removed grind, which in essence is what extends the life of this game, no grind means people accomplish things quickly and then lose interest and quit.
Makes the whole fact I got a Mythic a month ago seem a lot like wasted time but there ya go. Also consider people who farmed Salvage and Dynamis for gil, that's out the window, currency and alex are going to be worthless now, always have Skirmish upgrade stones I suppose.
Unless Rhapsodies in Adoulin makes skirmish stones more plentiful... People on BG are betting on Heavy Metal Plates being up there with an additional and more plentiful method to obtain in the next one.
these ki's are certainly both a good and bad addition to the game, i can see they're reducing entry stuff as it's on its way out, but you gotta look at it this way too, if all currency dies out, will there be much need for mass amounts of gil in the days to come if everything becomes simplified?
I would usually agree with you.
But the mythic grind on this game was so bad most players lost interest with it and quit it anyway. So the end result was the same as if it had never existed in the first place.
I'm all for long-term goals. But they need to be reasonable enough to where players are actually willing to do them. It does suck for people like you though who got them the old fashioned way. I think SE owes you some compensation. But I do support these changes.
For me the game is done, after what i went through a lil bit ago,and the fact that we still cant solo anything has made me hang up my hat!!! Last couple weeks for me after 13 years, my spirit is broke!!
You can solo loads of things, just in general not the most relevant content but it's an MMO, there's supposed to be cooperation. Sure there are some things that I find frustrating, for example, forcing people to need a minimum of 3 people to do content, there are many things, low level Unity NMs for example that can be soloed but you artificially aren't allowed to.
ungating your ability to farm didnt really make it easier.
Its just letting you sprint to your goal but it still requires stamina, unless you've been sitting on a mountain of gil and can bypass most of the farming.
Most people run the risk of burning themselves out trying to quickly build RMEs through the means of going on a farming spree.
are they increasing the rem weapon dmg cos if not who cares, I cant use my 2 relics cos the skirmish weapons are op
Technically speaking, the grind is still there. You still have to go into Dynamis/Salvage/whatever the same amount of times to get all your stuff. The only thing that's changed is that people can now do all those runs over a shorter period of time if they so choose (and I suppose there's also the fact that Ein costs less money, but that wasn't really a big deal either for mythic makers)Quote:

Yes, currency prices will probably drop, and it'll make things easier for people who just buy all their currency. But the same level of effort is still going to be made in producing all that currency.
I love them too, but mostly for finally putting in a way of telling the range of AoE spells and abilities.
I should point out that while yes, you can produce a lot more currency, keep in mind that this will be at least partially offset by more players wanting to take up the tasks.
I don't understand how this makes mythics "easier". You still have to do all the same stuff, you can just do it faster. This is a good change.
I’m happy to hear that everyone is enjoying Rhapsodies of Vana’diel and the nice bonuses it yields! :)
The special key items that were added in the May version update for the first chapter of Rhapsodies of Vana’diel are specifically for content up to level 75 and their high-tier counterparts. However, with the subsequent chapters of Rhapsodies of Vana’diel, we will be introducing even more key items, which will be for Voidwatch and other post-level 75 content. We hope you are looking forward to earning them!
If you farmed all that and got stuck on Lebros supplies I'd suggest getting out of your protective bubble and make some friends, before they updated it, I could beat Lebros Supplies easily with 2 friends, helped that one of them was BRD while I was COR, movement speed and all that jazz.
How is Lebros Supplies now? The new item is the Stewpot which is AoE by it's decription, what strength is it? Does it auto-fill NPCs in the area?
